My comment is only aimed at bar girls or go-go dancers and the like. 

 

Desperation is the main trait I suppose.

A lack of personality may play a part too.

 

If some guys need to pay for it then they should shag the bargirl,  but they shouldn't  be desperate enough to marry them.

 

If they are willing to sell their bodies for money just think of what they can do to these guys regarding money/life.

 

I have come across quite a few guys over the years where they say their house was stolen, they were kicked out by the ex bar girl, "I thought she was different to the others", is a common comment. 

 

It is funny when some of the guys are old and walk down the street holding hands with a girl young enough to to be their daughter, "bar girl" immediately comes to the minds in all the other farangs and Thais when they see this. 

 

Over my 30+ years of visiting Thailand and while having a beer with a few mates in bars, I found 99% of the girls working there were from Isan, the reason they have told me they are doing this job is there are no other jobs, I said there are plenty of job here in Phuket, hotels etc are crying out for staff.

 

A friend of mine had a restaurant/bar for twenty years , he said some of the bar girls had three or four farang 'boyfriends' sending them money from various countries at the same time.

 

So I suppose the main trait is desperation or wanting to marry a girl the same age or younger as their own daughters.

My Thai partner of twenty+ years owns around nine houses in Thailand which she rents out, they are completely in her name, my property and money is in England in my name, the difference is she bought and paid for her houses herself, I bought and paid for mine, meaning we are both financially independent of each other. 

 

Oh and there is not 30+ years age gap as well.

But that's not true for men, I've met men in their 60s that have only been shagged a few times.

If you know how to listen to women, you'll always get sex, along with knowing what it takes to romance a woman long before you expect sex from her. It doesn't take money. Most anyone can give people money, and that's why some women will sleep with anything that has it. Some women will trade sex for money and some want romance and trust. Easy to see who a man wants to stay with.

To marry a bar girl he needs: A lack of common sense. 

There is good and bad in all.  A lot of girls go to work in a bar in the hope of meeting a foreign man for secure financial reasons to provide for their family. From my observations in coming to Thailand for many years, I estimated about 80% not 50% of foreign guys marry ladies somehow connected to the sex industry here in Thailand. I am not against bar girls,  I use their services, but I would never marry one.

I was always good at earning money, but didn't have much spare time.

So easier and more cost effective to pay.

Imagine spending days trying to romance a lady into bed, that would have lost me thousands of pounds in earning, and not guaranteed the result I wanted.

 

Obviously it would depend on your sex drive, knew one guy that was perfectly happy with once a month, but I'd go mad with less than 3x a week.

Romance is free. If you think of yourself before your partner, that's called selfishness. Loving yourself first is mandatory, but that doesn't mean you neglect your partners life. It does take time to romance before a woman gives herself "freely". Taking out the garbage all the time. Making dinner. Taking her out on dates. Getting her flowers for nothing besides a thought, doing the wash. Taking the kids out and letting her rest a day. Looking in her eyes when she talks and actively listening, hearing what she's saying instead of thinking about the latest football game.

 

It doesn't take a lot of extra money to show you care for the one who should be the most important person in your life. Providing for your family is a given, as responsibility isn't missed by a normal woman. A greedy one won't look at you as anything besides cash, and will give herself begrudgingly as her main focus is on possessions and how she looks to her "friends". Normal women do not think like greedy damaged ones. If you want steady sex, you give more than you receive, as they don't forget when someone shows love IF they are normal.

That might be somewhat true, although I'm thinking it's a lower percentage. That they choose bargirls is their choice, as bargirls are but a small fraction of available women in Thailand. The chance of finding a decent one is much better staying away from tourist areas and looking in the country, that are steadily working regular jobs, although it isn't a guarantee that they'll be normal in their thinking.
