    Only the brainwashed Democrat-Marxist supporters believe what CNN et al say about the climate.

I believe alot of the climate fear is from various entitites to make money.

However, i do believe in having clean air to breathe around me, having witnessed the horrific pollution in Thailand.

What i do not want is to pay more money, infringe on our freedoms (you can't drive, or 5 minute cities)

I remember that too. In the early 1970s all the current scientific thinking was that a new ice age was coming and the polar ice caps would expand and reach down as far as Britain, covering it in a glacial ice sheet and we would henceforth live in a perpetual winter.
There were documentaries and programs on TV about it.
Still remember watching Michael Barratt on the then daily BBC current affairs television program Nationwide doing a piece on it, telling us in somber tones what was predicted.

Leonard Nimoy (Spock) in the 1970s, also narrated a similar piece predicting a coming ice age, that's available on Youtube.

No wonder that 60% of Americans think it's a load of codswallop.

Yep - exactly!  :thumbsup:

1. Prohibit burning.

2. Get other countries to prohibit burning.

3. Emissions inspection

Alarming events - like weathermen pretending to be blow off their feet by hurricanes.

🐂💩 Bravo Sierra

People who believe Mike Seidel's playacting probably believe that Professional Wrestling is real.

You truly are a sad little stalker troll.

Hey, how did Trump do in solving the open border issues.?

Stop going off topic, as usual, and please answer the question I asked which was;

"Show me such a tv rating that states that!"

PS; I don't actually expect a truthful answer as that is not something that you have ever been capable of with your responses to me!

PPS; I also suspect that is the case for many factual responses you are asked for!

PPPS;  What a big head to think that anyone would wish to stalk you.

What has that pointless deflection got to do with what I asked for which is;

"You said "Nobody" watches CNN!

Show me such a tv rating that states that!"

Wow. Three spittlefroth screeches in 3 separate topics 2 minutes apart LOL. Talk about  obsessed with me. Not very healthy.

Hey which cable TV network have the lowest ratings in the USA? I can just see your face turning red as you pound out emojis in every post I made this year.

You must be looking in the mirror to have typed that but yet again you have still not answered the question;

Nobody does. How are their ratings?

English is clearly not your first language. German, right?

Think it is obvious that temperatures have increased much more than usual since 1900(industry) compared to prior 2000 years.  Not sure what that predicts but honestly not losing any sleep over it.

Really? How come Alaska was grasslands 6000 years ago?

1 + 2 - it's difficult to get these countries together and agree unilaterally to never burn. They don't have the resources to police every single bit of land. The only way would be if a bigger power like China stepped in. I'm surprised Singapore doesn't exert more influence with various methods, as it effects them massively.

3) Thailand often goes by the mantra 'we got to let them earn' - but enough is enough now with regards to emissions. They will do a yearly photo opportunity, and that's it. If the national government doesn't do it, local governors can step in by implementing policies. Hanoi has recently announced no fuel guzzling bikes will be allowed into the old city. WIll reducing the BTS fare do anything? Most of the vehicles emitting are the big guzzlers like trucks, and work vans.

Even India has a strict emissions policy for vehicles. Thailand literally does very little. No idea why.

You could literally set up a viewing platform and impound any vehicle emitting black smoke for a start. The red public busses emitting black smoke are still to this day on the road.

Figuratively vs literal is a difficult concept for some to grasp.

Sure thats why I saw road shoulders being burned. Its all lip service. When they realize that pollution is one of the reason that tourism is faltering maybe they will get it together. Look at the numbers https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Tourism_rankings

Well, interesting and all, BUT I did state 2000 years.

The climate isn't constant but there is no time in history that I can tell that we have experienced this type of increase in such a short period.  Wish it wasn't true and it could be an anomaly but the odds are tiny.  I've looked at this from many angles and with a bias. I wanted it to not be true.

I get frustrated with the drama queen environmental fools (not all ) that just create hysteria at the expense of actually doing anything productive.  Like the pro-vaccine calling those that didn't get vaccinated idiots without for a moment considering their perspective.  Seems like a foolish strategy and usually in the name of being a good person.

The climate or dying because I'm not vaccinated isn't a concern.  My drug addicted bro, my receding hairline, and million other things seem more important.

Agree for the most part.  How long have you been here?  At the rate Thailand is improving, in 20 years I think it will be almost like the West.  20 years ago it seemed half the cars on the roads were environmental disasters.  Still too many but with so many of the newer cars emitting little emissions (EV & ICE) it will improve.  Most the disgusting cars are not registered and pay fines when they're stopped.  They can't run forever 🙂

The burning trash is much better at the local level and is frowned upon by probably most Thais.  It was just accepted 20 years ago.  Most villages now try to get people not to burn with some success.  Still burning but there will always be selfish know it all people that just don't care like a house nearby us.  To them it seems to be a badge of honor and they need it to justify their pathetic existence.  I just smile and walk/ride through the smoke.

You forgot about the great dying. Caused by too much CO2 in the air... Lots of similarities to today.

-----

The Great Dying, also known as the Permian-Triassic extinction event, was the Earth's most severe mass extinction event, occurring approximately 252 million years ago at the boundary between the Permian and Triassic periods. It wiped out a vast majority of marine and terrestrial species, with some estimates suggesting up to 96% of marine life and 70% of terrestrial vertebrates disappearing.

Little before my time 🙂 Interesting nonetheless.  I'm 58 so odds of me experiencing such an event is not a concern.  I care about  future generations but 99% of my thoughts revolve around about my small circle of friends/family.  I wonder how terrestrial life will evolve but mostly just curiosity and not concern. It will be what will be 🙂

Nobody watches CNN anyway so the whole topic is silly.

I think you may have left out 'with a working brain' after Nobody.  LOL

In other news, village residents are not scared of being attacked by wolves after numerous false claims from a boy  who cried that a wolf was about to attack.

What good would "Climate Fear" do me?

I'll leave the panicking to the panic monkeys and Gretas of this world, as per usual.
