Hi Guys, we live in Chiang Mai and am heading to Hua Hin in a week for at least 2 weeks of vacation and am wondering about water sport activities.  Is there somewhere for jet ski rental or parasailing along Hua Hin beach area?  Have older kids that need a bit more than lounging around 😉  Thanks in advance.

Plenty of horse riding on the beach.

Jet ski rental ?  are you out of your mind ?  how long have you lived here?  Its a well known scam

Not in hua hin. They are decent dudes, hua him doesnt get the same tourists as samui or phuket

its not the tourists that run the jet ski scam,  yes there are scammers around Hua Hin, I know one of them personally, he worked for me when I had a tour boat business operating out of Pranburi, some years ago,  I recently returned there for a few days to look up a few old friends , and there he was , looking after jet ski's for some unsavoury characters.  Of course he presents as a "decent guy"  all successful scammers do

We've rented jet skis many times. Just have to be careful.

like everything else , never a problem , until it is,   Being careful is sometimes not enough. Personally I don't see the fun in Jetskis, ok for kids I guess but where is the fun in aimlessly going backwards and forwards or around in circles ?
