I support Israel, and I blame Palestine for the plight of the Palestinians, but I do not think any of it is funny.

That's been very clear from the start.  First they apparently allowed the attack to happen, then they start saying "They beheaded babies, Hamas is ISIS, Hamas is ISIS".  It was obvious they were drumming up support for a total obliteration of Gaza.
