Immigration Services

Has anyone used PDC Visa Plus+ service in Udon Thani? I am looking for a service to help me with getting a Type O Visa and then converting it into a Marriage Visa... Any other service providers you have had good service from etc... Will be flying into Bangkok the end of September and could use a service there too... Any guess the cost of this... Recommend you obtain the Non Imm O visa online from your home Country Thai Embassy to enter Thailand with.

No problem entering with a Non O.

It's simple enough to apply for the 1 year extension of stay based on Thai spouse yourself.

Doubtful, an agent can assist with a Non O and extension based on Thai spouse.

I concur with @Liquorice 👍

You are far better off applying for the 90 day single entry Non-O visa from the thai consulate in your country BEFORE you wing your way here. That way you can come in on a Non-O visa, use that to show "long term intent" to hopefully open a bank account, get the 400K baht of funds transferred in and wait the 2 months seasoning and then apply for the yearly extension on your own at the immigration office where you live/stay for 1900baht

It is my experience that more and more agents are trying to shoe-horn people wanting marriage visas into retirement (if they're over 50) or some other type of visa (ED, etc) because of the difficulty most agents face in actually getting year extensions based on marriage..

I do not know that agency (but in thailand there are many HUNDREDS of them scattered around the country) I would wager that because up there in "Nakhon Nowhere" is more a "captive audience" that the pricing will be considerably higher than you could find in Bangkok or Pattaya IF you could find an agent doing marriage visa/extensions

You mean obtain a Non O based on marriage.

As already mentioned.... Currently huge problems with opening a Thai bank account in your name only.

Current thread  Outlining problems discussed here.

Even with the Non O the banks are not helpful with the bank account. @pdebuck456 may outline his issue

Only difference is has a Non O retirement and you are asking about Non O marriage.

You 100% should obtain the Non O outside of Thailand.

PDC are fine and could assist you even with extension marriage which is not common.

That would just be hand holding assistance.

Suggest you have a plan B.

Obtaining a 60 day extension to visit Thai wife would buy time to sort out the bank account.

Current issues with opening bank account also in this current thread.

Concur. I would suggest that if you're facing a difficulty opening a bank account, you try all different banks, and all of their different branches in your area. The rules are liquid and you never know, you may get lucky.

The guy I mentioned who has a Non O has tried over 10 banks.

In Bangkok + the bigger branches in Sukhumvit.

Now in Buriram and no luck there either.

Need to consider that your bank account  is technically “tied” to that specific branch and province. You might pay a fee when using an ATM of your bank  outside the province where you opened the account. If there's a problem with your account, you might hear " You have to go to the branch where you opened the account."

His issue is NOT being able to open an account anywhere, despite having a Non O + COR.

The Burirum was just testing is the result was different in another province.

Sadly was not.

Not cheap to get an agent to set up a marriage extension for you, because they have to also deal with the district-office sign-off - but, one report of one who will - though you need to come in on a Non-O visa based on marriage from an embassy as the starting-point:

It seems that if immigration requires you to have a Thai bank account they should provide an official document stating that you are required to open one.
