printingwithdm0n Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Hey everyone! 👋 I’ve been in Thailand for 4 months now (with one border run to Phu Quoc), and honestly this has been the best time of my life. I’ve completely fallen in love with the place, the lifestyle, and the people. My business just started gaining real traction (digital nomad), and I’d love to stay here for at least another year to focus on growing it and keep enjoying what Thailand has to offer (I already have a routine here) I wanted to ask for some advice about visa options, and hopefully, someone here can point me in the right direction 🙏 Here’s my current situation: I did one border run, which gave me another 60 days. I now have 45 days left on my current stay. I was considering applying for the new DTV visa (Digital Nomad), and I technically qualify: I run two eCommerce brands based in Europe I have enough income/funds BUT the problem is that my funds are in business bank accounts (US LLC + HK company). I don’t have a personal bank account showing those funds, and from what I understand, the DTV requires personal banking statements. I might be able to get a letter from the bank confirming that I’m the sole owner and signatory of the business accounts (with my personal name on it). But I’m not sure if that would satisfy the DTV visa requirements, since the funds aren’t in a traditional personal account I’ve started the process of opening a personal account in the US, but realistically: It’ll take 1–2 months to open Then 3–6 months to accumulate 6 months of statements So DTV is off the table for the next 6–7 months. So my question is: What are my best options to stay in Thailand until I’m eligible for DTV? I’ve heard: You can get a visa by enrolling in Muay Thai training (i'm ok with that) Some people use agencies/services to handle visa runs or deal with immigration, how reliable is that and can it be used for 3-4 times? Maybe there’s a better visa route I haven’t heard of? Any advice, experiences, or recommendations would really help! 🙏 Thanks in advance
BrandonJT Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago It's never taken me more than 15 minutes to open a US Bank account online. 1-2 months? How? If you are willing to accept long van rides depending on where you are located, you can just use land border bounce agencies until you're ready to apply for DTV. Else you can do air bounces and pay for a safe entry service to guarantee your entry at the airport. 1

I'm supposed to get my ITIN in a week and only then I will be able to apply for a personal one but I would have to wait 3-6 months anyway for the statements. I could use my Wise account, but a friend got declined trying to apply with it. I don't mind paying more to enter, I'm fine with doing air runs every 2 months and then paying an agency to get me into here, just not sure how reliable it is and what to do in case I get rejected
Mark1969 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Just border bounce. If they decline you move to Siem Reap and work there until you get the DTV from the embassy in Cambodia. It took almost 2 months to get the DTV there anyway.

But you could consider spending some time in nearby countries as well to mix things up. You definitely need proper bank statements in your name to apply for a DTV, not just a letter from a bank explaining that you're the beneficiary of your business bank accounts.
Rob Browder Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago In addition to agent-assisted visa runs ... You can get an "ED" Visa and extension via many schools / agents. Maybe (before was easy) can still get a bank-account opened with this, which you could use for the DTV next year. You can also get a DTV via-agent. They set up the trip, etc.

They will not accept your case if they cannot get you in. You contact them, they ask for every page of your passport. They send that to their contacts at the airport who will then review and give a price. They will tell you the price and if you accept there will be an immigration officer that will meet you (you even send a photo of the clothes you are wearing when you board the plane) and they will walk you to a counter and open it just to stamp you in. You can either contact Thai Visa Centre (click "Apply for TDAC", fill out the first page, then select the VIP/Fast Track entry on the 2nd page) https://tdac.agents.co.th/ Or you can get in touch with the agency in this thread:

Knight Rider Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Why do you need a US bank account? Can't you do it with your personal account in your name in your home country? You should always have a personal account in your home country. Why close all your accounts in your home country when you move to another country.

What is passport country. Re safe entry services (air) works fine no issue Threads positive re this company https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61552069237778 OP, seems you are newish to Thailand. You can work online without issues. Never understand the fixation on staying in Thailand ongoing. Mixing up nearby countries would make longer stay in SEA possible. Post above mentions Siem Reap. I'd throw Saigon in that suggestion box also. Without ties in Thailand you could easily spend months in Thailand and months elsewhere. PP country? Age? Wash and repeat.

Just strikes me something that shouldn't be legal assuming it is
