July 29, 2025Jul 29 I've forgotten what the procedure is here. I have ordered and received a new (British) passport since I came in (on my old passport).... When I leave, will I be OK just bringing both passports (old one has a corner cut off now), or do I need a letter from embassy or similar... Many thanks
July 29, 2025Jul 29 Did you enter Thailand with a visa, a reentry permit or visa exempt. Also letter from embassy not required.

Many thanks Take the old and new passport to Immigration and have the stamps transferred to the new passport. You then only have to use the new passport.

August 1, 2025Aug 1 Important: The general rule for all passport holders is: Go to immigration with both; your new and old passports; visa stamps, etc., will be transferred to the new one. Afterward, you won't need your old passport anymore!
