One kind of dietary fat cripples your immune response to cancer

The researchers then analyzed metabolites – small molecules produced when cells break down nutrients – to understand how different fats affected the immune system. They found that in obese mice fed animal fats, harmful fat-derived metabolites called long-chain acylcarnitines built up inside CTL and NK cells. These molecules interfered with the cells’ mitochondria, the parts of the cell that generate energy, causing the immune cells to lose their power and fail to fight cancer cells effectively.

In contrast, these damaging metabolites didn’t accumulate in the mice on plant-based fats – their CTL and NK cells stayed active and were able to seek out and attack tumors.

What about healthy 71 year old mice that are unvaxed & on TRT?

Can you show me where it said the mice were vaccinated? And doesn't the TRT diet prescribe eating lean meat? I kind of doubt it endorses eating french fries that were fried in tallow. Did you actually read the article? If you had, you might have noticed that it did  offer some evidence that was in contradiction to prevailing opinion.Namely, that palm oil, which is a saturated fat, seemed to stimulate anti-cancer activity. Coconut oil, another saturated fat, was also used in the study and didn't seem to harm the immune response.

Good thing I'm not a mouse, as I cook all my beef with beef tallow.  Unvax'd (as not an idiot), but I must be on some kind of TRT diet.  Again, I'm not a mouse.

Oh, and I didn't read the link.  Research on mice is good, for well, mice.

"Research on mice is good for mice."I t's possible not to be an idiot and still be massively ignorant. Your comment about beef tallow also shows that. Maybe you believe that the only kind of fat out there is beef tallow? Or the only kind suitable as a precursor to cholesterol?

Reading comprehension, 'cook all my beef with beef tallow'.

You're assuming I don't have and or use Canola oil for most other cooking needs.  Along with other fats, such as butter for flavor, when needed or wanted.

Sesame oil as a salad dressing or peanut oil for high temp frying.  You'd have to be crazy to use coconut oil for making chocolate ... or not ... crazy.

There may be a therapy for 'tunnel vision' ... 😎
