Drunk Brit Attacks Bar Worker, Hurt by American Customer

Featured Replies

Brit's in the wrong. Should have walked away. Thai woman obvioulsly didn't like what was being said. She pushes him in the face and it's on but it's the Brit that lays the 1st punch. Punching a woman in the face? Not on IMO. American stepped in and threw him to the ground.

Brit guy was sitting down in the bar, Thai girl grabbed him by the throat. Slaps were exchanged. American attacked him unprovoked and should get 3 years for GBH.

Nah. If you're protecting a woman from being beaten, you don't get a prison sentence. Especially a Thai woman being attacked by a farang. Who cares if she started it? You're not allowed

  • Lady started the fight, clearly visible in the video that she grabs him in the throat.

The Brit was punching her in the face. The American bloke stopped him. As I said above the Brit flew the 1st punch and against a woman. The Brit's lucky the bar didn't have Thai guys there.

Look again at the video and see what happened. Throwing a man to the ground because he was punching a woman was a choice a bystander made, and likely the second best one, a bear hug being the best. This wasn't a Brit and American exchanging words and the American grabbing him and throwing him, meaning to cause harm. This was a man trying to protect a woman from more harm. When things happen that quick, you do what comes naturally, and what he did wasn't a bad choice. That the man broke his arm wasn't a good thing, but he was punching a woman, and  more then once, and likely to continue.

.........when the man, reportedly intoxicated, spotted his former partner......so more to it than just offering to buy her drinks.

Correct sending him to Hospital.

Not condoning his behaviour at all but from what I can see he didn't fall  he was pushed./pulled  He was not expecting it the other guy almost came from behind , and it was a pretty large step down to the road for a drunk 66 year old to cope with    Hopefully he has learnt his lesson albeit the hard way  Life's too short to carry on like that

I would suggest life's already been too long for the pillock.

Now that would have saved a lot of speculation and discussion on here......accurate and to the point.....555

Seriously, do these fools think if a girl works in a bar she's yours forever?

Yes. It's in the small print somewhere.

I saw something very different from what the story says .  But his best option would have been to pay his bill and leave .

Funny you should say that......went into a bar where I'd be seeing a girl occasionally, but she was sat with someone....no biggy.

I sat down at the bar and another girl came over. The girl I'd be 'seeing'.......shot over, pushed here away, grabbed me and said...

"Don't talk to her, she's a dirty girl"..........555

Well look on bright side at least the Yank didn't whip his piece out and pop a cap in his ass lol.

Unnecessary "what If" comment.  He didn't "hit his head and die".  However, he did drink far more than he should have.

No, I think it is a valid point. There's many a "hero" has ended up in jail because his one punch resulted in a fall and catastrophic, even fatal head wounds. If you feel the need to play at being bar security, or the knight in shining armour, steer well clear of the drunks. They're a bloody liability.

My read is that she attacked him first, brit over-reacted belting her and the American pushed the Brit to get between them, accidentally knocking him off the platform. Negligent injury at best, The Yank was focused on the girl at the end, not pressing an attack on the Brit.

They should have denied service to the Brit under the no boyfriend rule. He should not have been allowed in, especially drunk at 03:30. He was waiting to take her home and she was not interested.

I trust you bar fined the dirty one?

I would.

Are you being sarcastic? 🙃

The guy is throwing punches at a girl.  (And yes, she started it, but that doesn’t condone throwing punches)
the American barely shoves him out the bar but the guys too pissed to stay on his feet.

A well deserved broken arm

If he didn't hit the woman the Amricsn would not have intervened to stop him punching her in the face.

Said cynically, but why shouldn't it be, it's a  "popular" topic? - Brits and Pattaya just don't get on well together!

So who caused the Hospital treatment  ?

555....the original girl broke off from the guy she was talking to and latched on to me.

The guy got a little upset, came over and told her she had to sit with him, she said no.

He looked at me and I said ....hey, nothing to do with me, it's up to her what so wants to do (that's me trying to avoid a good beating, he was huge)....

He thought for a second and wandered off.

A vignette of life in a girly bar....555

Three cheers for the American dude. If the Brit struck a woman half his size when I could have just exited the bar then he deserves getting his butt kicked. Any man who stands by while a much larger guy punches a woman SHOULD intervene. The Brit was lucky that there weren't a lot of Thai motorcycle taxi drives there or he would have fared a lot worse. I see no evidence of the America striking the Brit. He just helped  him out of the bar. It has been a long time since I visited the UK. Is it ok in the culture of the UK today for a man to punch out a woman?

Why didn't she just walk away instead of getting into his face digging and prodding him.

Its not in their nature mate    and don't forget "loss of face"  in front of the other whores   ooops sorry "waitresses" lol

Interesting that the original news outlet and it's 'adaptation' went in the opposite direction to the truth...

I guess you are a Brit then

I'm a Brit and I'm quite comfortable with what the American did.....I hate the way the lowlife here treat these girls. It's a <deleted>ty, hard life at the best of times without some moron treating you like dirt......I have a lot of time for them...and I mean that in a sensible way.

You could argue till you are blue in the face about alternative action by the American..... from nothing....not really an option.....to a bear hug, kidney punch, pool cue......down the steps and out seems fine.

The American did ok but you have to be careful. If someone dies then its trouble. A headlock is probably best.
