Drunk Brit Attacks Bar Worker, Hurt by American Customer

Absolutely incorrect. The American came to the assistance of the woman. He used reasonable force to stop the out of control Brit by flinging him to the ground. Coming to the assistance of someone that you believe is in danger of being harmed or is being harmed falls within self defence laws.

Brit guy was sitting down in the bar, Thai girl grabbed him by the throat. Slaps were exchanged. American attacked him unprovoked and should get 3 years for GBH.

Nah. If you're protecting a woman from being beaten, you don't get a prison sentence. Especially a Thai woman being attacked by a farang. Who cares if she started it? You're not allowed

  • Lady started the fight, clearly visible in the video that she grabs him in the throat.

The uk media has name the man as George Lilley, 66, from Leeds, West Yorkshire.

From the Daily Mail - “Shocking moment British tourist, 66, is left with a broken arm when he is thrown to the floor after getting into a fight with Thai bar girl and punching her in the face”

I will ask you again Dinsdale did the Yank remove him from the Bar resulting in his Arm getting Broken ?

Video starts ...and we have no idea what went on before the video began. She has her finger in his face. Words were exchanged. She grabs him by the chin ( not the throat...look and you can see her 4 fingers are on the side of his face). They have some hand-checking, and then he throws a pretty good punch to her face.  She responds with a glass of some liquid ...I cannot tell if it connected or if just the liquid reached his face, but he punches her again in the face. He throws one last punch to her face, and she turns her back and begins to scurry away. The man makes a move to follow her. Before he can take a full step, he is yanked back and tossed to the ground. There was nothing thuggish about it, except a grown man old enough to be her father, hitting her in the face with his fist 3 times....THAT'S thuggish. The young man essentially just grabbed the guy as he was going after her for apparently another go at her face, when his progress was redirected to the soi outside the bar. Sadly there was a 12 inch drop off there, which exacerbated the injurious effects of his landing. The man yanking the old codger away from the girl ( and he was going after her until he was interrupted) made no further attempt to do anything. He stood there looking at the feeble old man, who was real tough hitting a woman half his size 10 seconds before, now moaning with  a broken arm, and a bleeding face. Sometimes punching a woman in the face in public canresult in  health issues. He definitely threw the 1st punch, repeated a punch, and punched her face again. THEN was going after her to do more face-punching, I presume. I do wonder wtf others are looking at.

Finally !, someone stating exactly what happened without any additional strains of Land of Hope and Glory or USA , USA , USA in the background to clarify one’s nationality and bias .

Yes, he did. Did the Brit punch the girl in the face? Yes, he did. Did the American come to her assistance? Yes,he did. As I said above this comes within the realm of self defence. Coming to the assistance of someone that you believe is in danger of being harmed or is being harmed falls within self defence laws. If the drunken Pom had been able to control himself he would not be in hospital with a broken arm. Simple as.

wer'e not asking about  the brit Punching the bar girl. Im asking the broken Arm he recieved was it due to the Yank ejecting him from the Bar.

That guy who was thrown to the ground looks like a TOTAL Geek.

And, he doesn't know how to fight.

Or, actually, he fights like a girl, or half a girl.

Those black rimmed milk-bottle lenses are just too geeky for me.

There is no way any girl would sit with him in his home country.

I wonder if the bar will compensate for the broken arm and spilled drink?

What is going on at 0333?  Seriously....at that time, I am removing my condom and getting her to leave and looking at my bed with love, because I will be alone, safe in my condo.

Interesting that the original news outlet and it's 'adaptation' went in the opposite direction to the truth...

Yep, Fake news, watching the full incident, she attacked him, and the Septic finished him off, and the bloke Didn’t seem drunk or aggressive.

The drunken old  idiot Pom got his arm broken because the Yank defended the woman and flung him to the ground. He landed in such a way he broke his arm. Again I say if the drunken old idiot Pom had controlled himself he wouldn't have a broken arm. The true cause of him having a broken arm is himself. It was a consequence of his actions. Som num na. I have and any sensible person would have very little to no sympathy for him. What an idiot. Goes to the bar his ex-bargirl girlfriend works at. Like I've posted earlier he's lucky there were no Thai lads there otherwise he might have ended up with a lot worse than a broken arm.

A drunken unnamed, British man was left with injuries after launching a violent outburst at a bar off of Pattaya Second Road in the early hours of the morning.

The incident occurred at on 03:33 on 6 August, when the man, reportedly intoxicated, spotted his former partner, a female bar employee, tending to other customers. Overcome by jealousy, he began shouting and physically assaulting her in full view of other staff and patrons.

Sum

One American customer, seated nearby, was unable to stand by and watch. He stepped in to stop the attack and, in the scuffle that followed, forcefully threw the British man out of the bar, with him falling to the ground. The suspect hit the pavement hard, sustaining a broken arm, a gash to the eyebrow and facial bleeding.

Emergency services arrived shortly after and the injured man was taken to hospital for treatment. Police have stated they will conduct a full investigation once he is well enough to be interviewed and have pledged to ensure justice is served fairly for all parties involved.

The bar has so far declined to comment on the incident.

How old are you, now?

Are we not too old to risk a physical confrontation?

Think of the possible risks.

Not worth it.

68. You're never too old to defend a woman, your children or yourself. If you take care of yourself, and lift weights for 50 years, a lot of that stays with you, especially the desire to protect what's yours. If someone tried to hurt a loved one, they wouldn't walk again, because it's not only what you know or have, but what you think about your own.

555....the original girl broke off from the guy she was talking to and latched on to me.

The guy got a little upset, came over and told her she had to sit with him, she said no.

He looked at me and I said ....hey, nothing to do with me, it's up to her what so wants to do (that's me trying to avoid a good beating, he was huge)....

He thought for a second and wandered off.

A vignette of life in a girly bar....555

Here's my ripping yarn.

A mate of mine was hot for this new dancer at Green Light gogo in Soi Diamond (last century, no need to Google it). He had embassy business in Bangkok and would be late getting back to Pattaya so, as his wingman, he said I should get to the bar early and "hold" her until he got there. She was new and quite popular but there was only so many lady drinks I could offer as she accepted drinks from a couple of other keen punters. Lacking sufficient language skills to explain, and my buddy running very late, I bar fined her. So there she is, sitting beside me in her gnomin* clothes when my buddy finally shows up.

As I was kipping in the spare room at his villa, he acknowledged that trying to explain to her that I was bar fining her for him, and then we all go back to the same house, wasn't a good vibe (this was way, way before Indians discovered Pattaya). So he acquiesced, said she was mine for the night, but please tell him she was a starfish. I kept her for three days.

We're still good buddies. Neither of us remember her name.

*the normal attire that a gogo dancer changes into, in order to go home with a punter.

What is this rubbish @riclag? The video evidence shows him sitting down having a drink, with her threatening, pointing and hitting him. Do you have any evidence of him being the instigator?

Now that's the way to protect a woman's honour. But unless you're Chuck Norris, for everyone else, there Krav Maga.
