No. That is not what I wrote. I never had "diabolical" service from Thai Airways. A few minor gripes. That's all. YMMV!

OK Sorry but I have only had bad service. If you have only had minor gripes stick with them. The only problem on by last  Eva flight was on return the Heathrow the stand was occupied and we sat for 25 minutes engines running waiting to get to the gate. Annoyingly the Thai flight passed us on the taxiway and went straight onto their stand. But that was hardly and Eva problem.

Sometimes, I find it quite difficult to remain polite when I see blatant ignorance, motivated by a petty grievance, rather than based in fact. Thai Airway's  maintenance costs have been reduced because it  has disposed of a large portion of its aged fleet. The longer an aircraft is in the fleet, the more likely the aircraft will have to undergo expensive  inspections and overhauls. Thai Airways has 78 aircraft and the average age is approx. 10 years.

The airline  has 23 ABB 350 which are less than 8 years old. It's 10 B 787  are 10 years old or less. It's 20-  workhorse AB 320's are approx. 11 years old, which is  young compared to other airlines with AB320's. The oldest B777s and AB 330s are going to be retired soon once the new aircraft on order arrive.

The question people should be asking of Thai is what is the change in financing and leasing costs? In previous years, the airline was burdened with expensive aircraft leases. The restructuring  allowed that financial burden to be reduced.

Fuel prices lower, service has gotten worse, conditions of planes worse, and fares are higher, sometimes double what they used to be, but profits ate up go figure

When an airline cancels a flight, doesn't give a refund for the flight, trousers the fuel surcharge, rips you of for hundreds of pounds, that is hardly a petty grievance. On top of the fact they are not a particularly good airline.

So in your World if a thai Air  plane is half full they will still make a profit.

yes , if average ticket is for ex not 300  its 600 , than there is higher profit than on 300

and vby the way loadfactor is aprox 80%

When you look a 2024 for example maintenance costs were up massively as they absorbed all the Thai Smile aircraft last year and gave them major services and overhauls. That is all done down so maintenance costs are down.

It doesn't mean they are doing less maintenance to existing planes.

So why did the maintenance costs have such a major upward shift? Was more maintenance performed on the aircraft or was money put to other purposes/
