Trump suffers another geography fail after calling Alaska ‘Russia’ as he rants ahead of Putin meeting: ‘Leningrad free’

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/trump-alaska-russia-putin-leningrad-b2806865.html

Two days after he twice said he was 'going to Russia' for his Alaska summit with Vladimir Putin, President Donald Trump used a Soviet-era name to describe Russia’s second-largest city as he attacked a former adviser on social media.

Writing on Truth Social to complain about “very unfair media” coverage of his upcoming summit with the Russian president, he said the press would even go so far to say he’d made a “bad deal” even if he reached an agreement for the United States to acquire “Moscow and Leningrad” without giving up anything in return.

The president appeared to be unaware of one small detail: The city he called “Leningrad” is actually called St. Petersburg and has been since city residents voted to ditch the Soviet-era name in June 1991.

Russia went to war because the U.S.(Biden) was backing Ukraine to be apart of NATO, which was a violation of the agreement made after WWll that Ukraine would NEVER be apart of NATO.

That's what Putin said 🤣

(actually he said Biden proposed to postpone Ukraine's admission by 10 to 15 years.)

President Donald Trump got rolled by Vladimir Putin at the Alaska summit, former CIA Director John Brennan told MSNBC's Eugene Daniels on Monday — but then the leaders of Europe sat him down and gave him what for.

That latter meeting, which was punctuated by some embarrassing moments for the president, saw a variety of U.S. allies reiterating their commitments to Ukraine's defense and pushing Trump to carry on with those made by his country.

"As the former spy chief yourself, what happened?" asked Daniels. "Because on up until Thursday he was saying — even Friday, when he was going to Alaska — saying, I want a ceasefire, period. And then he got in a car with Vladimir Putin, they drove a little bit, and then all of a sudden his mind changed. Former KGB agent talking to Donald Trump, and now his mind changed. What do you think happened there?"

Trump 'gave in' to Putin — but Europe's leaders called him out: Ex-CIA chief

Putin Adds to List of Demands: Drop the War Crimes Charges

He face war crimes charges for the deportation of Ukrainian children to Russia.

A new report suggests Vladimir Putin may be quietly preparing to add a controversial condition to peace talks over Ukraine, the withdrawal of the charges filed against him by the International Criminal Court.

Hey.....How about this.......a real kicker.....Putin demands a joint Nobel Peace Prize with Trump?

The depressing views of Luke Harding, the senior international correspondent for The Guardian, after yesterday's meeting in the White House between European leaders and Trump.

Ultimately as things stand, there isn’t really a meaningful way forward to a peace agreement. I mean Putin’s demands are as maximalist as ever – he wants Ukraine to give up a large chunk in the east of the country, in the Donbas region.”

Although this seems to be Trump’s preferred route to ending the conflict, it is unlikely to work for Zelenskyy – were he to make this huge concession, Luke says, he would be swept away by popular protest.

“I think it’s entirely possible that in the next month or so, the Americans will comprehensively exit from supporting Ukraine. Already they’ve stopped delivering weapons. I can see a pull-out from Trump,” says Luke.

Tuesday briefing: What last night’s meeting between Trump, Zelenskyy and Europe means for the war in Ukraine

Does Putin own Trump?  Harding's final words.

“What I find so strange is the way Trump defends Putin, wants to include him, talks about calling him imminently, says he had a great meeting in Alaska. It seems ultimately that is where his sympathies lie – with Russia.”

I believe there's an Interpol arrest warrant for Putin for crimes against humanity. Why wasn't he grabbed and put in prison???

we all know that Trump is a sleazy type guy that claims all that's good and anything that's not his way he rants about, what's surprising is he lack of memory, knowledge/promises and that's why the world leaders are always afraid, when he opens his mouth,  what may come out, what type of contradictory comment would he make, this time Zelensky had the courage to face him and remind him of his previous stance om Crimea, something he and his then pal Pence did, Zelensky wanted to make sure there no more shifting on Trumps blablabla

That agreed to which Trump is failing so far, 7 months into this administration is quite astonishing, and it seems like the majority of Americans agree.

AFAIK

Not an Interpol matter - the International Criminal Court has issued a warrant.

USA is not a signatory to the Rome Statute, which established the International Criminal Court, so does not recognize its authority.
