A monk at a local temple in Ban Rai subdistrict, Lat Yao district, Nakhon Sawan, resigned after villagers caught him in a compromising situation with a woman inside his quarters on the night of 15 August.

Residents of Moo 7, Ban Noen Muang village, reportedly surrounded the temple after receiving tips that the monk had been secretly meeting a woman in his residence almost every night. A video circulated by locals shows villagers confronting the monk, demanding that he renounce his robes. Initially, the monk denied any wrongdoing.

The situation escalated when a young woman emerged from the monk’s quarters wearing only a yellow towel, prompting outrage among the assembled villagers. Following the confrontation, the monk agreed to leave the monkhood immediately. The woman was escorted from the temple, though her identity remains unknown.

By the morning of 16 August, the atmosphere around the temple remained tense, with locals expressing disappointment and anger. Villagers told reporters that the woman had been visiting the temple frequently, often arriving in the morning and leaving late at night, arousing suspicion that eventually led to the intervention.

The incident has sparked criticism from the community, who view it as damaging to the reputation of Buddhism and local faith in the temple. Authorities and temple officials are reviewing the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Just an everyday occurrence in Thailand, now days.

Monks up to Monkey business.

There are times when monks need to touch bodies to cleanse evil spirits within.....obviously from the frequency this poor lady must have been suffering greatly.......LOL

He is one of many who need to be rooted out of the Buddhism monkhood. There are many more i am sure using drugs, having sex with patrons, stealing money or living beyond their faiths doctrine.
