I got lucky with one Burmese girl. As you know the Burmese are all over the outskirts of Chiang Mai, in the border villages. She sold pyjamas though online, not a construction worker. 

 

Yes, very robust girls, not all that attractive, and characterwise I found her unreliable too.

 

One thing you'll have to consider is that she has to do border runs because of the visa. This girl had to do one, and was stuck for days because of the rains.

I assume the ones down here in Phuket would do their visa runs in Ranong?
If they have work permits probably unnecessary to do runs?

I'm pretty certain you'll find most, if not all, those Burmese migrant worker gals are married or with Burmese guys. Quite a few of the resorts I've stayed at around Thailand used these migrant workers and the gals were always with guys, they came to these jobs as pairs.
