New MEA app - lost access

Featured Replies

Upgraded to v4.0.0 of the MEA (Metropolitan Electricity Authority) app today and as a result lost all login access, nothing works not even password reset. Same on their website login.

Used to work fine in the last couple years without problems.

Anyone else have this issue? Any suggested solutions (other than calling MEA)?

We had a similar issue earlier this year with the PEA app, luckily the old version continued to function until another update fixed the problem.

same issue here. e-Mail not being recognized when trying to reset the password even though I am receiving the bills through said mail address. Phone number does not work too. I cannot even register a new account despite agreeing to terms. Very frustrating.

Is it possible to roll back the upgrade once the newer version has been installed?

Using an Android device.

The PEA certainly would not. Luckily for us the app was also on Madam's phone, we just didn't let it update.

You could try getting the earlier version from APKPure and doing a bare install.

I managed to login again, by going through the signup process.

All the meters came back again, but the interface is horrible 😫 😢

Yes called MEA and they recommended to sign up again, works now. All a rather underwhelming experience ...
