Scanning of document business centre?

Featured Replies

Gentleman please start your engines !

And please don't quote me I have no idea who said that

Now to get on topic ,may I know  those in the know in Pattaya where one may get documents "scanned" and emailed to someone and pages printed

I need to "scan" a sales contract for my real estate back in Australia and send this by email.

He demanded I "scan" it ,I have know idea what it means

I also need to ....print a few pages from am email

Where  may I "scan " a one page document and send it by email ?

Is there any business type places perhaps you may know of ?

May I kindly ask or will this be denied?

Perhaps may I suggest the visa offices , would that perhaps be worth a try ,do they indeed provide this service for a nominal fee one could believe??

If you have a smartphone there are a number of apps that will "scan" your document using the camera.

I had no idea

So I must have to download a scan app I guess ?

Any internet shop or condo office will have a scanner.

Save up, they may charge you 5 baht.

I realise your getting old,

But please let the younger generation answer my science.

It's not a photocopy it's a document scan to send via email ,nothing to do with photocopy

I must scan it in the email ,not on a photocopy machine ,scan the document then send via email

50 Satang shop on Thepprasit will do it for you, they speak English, look for the big 50 opposite the night market, opens tomorrow am

None of the above.

Just learn from the people posting who have given you the correct answers.

Even some of the cheapest home use printer have a scan to file function.

Any commercial machine will do the job you want.

Just because it looks like a photocopier to you it has additional functions you may not be aware of.

Most will not only scan but also email the scanned document for you.

Most printers have the capacity to scan documents, which would then generate a pdf or jpeg file format you could attach to an email using a laptop. I suspect most Kodak shops could take care of this.

Yes, the Kodak shops are my default for document handling requirements, specifically the one at the corner of the Thappraya/Thepprasit Road intersection. Save a document to a credit card SSD drive, take it in there for printing and if it needs signing, scanning and save back to SSD for emailing back to source.  Very convenient and good value business and service.

No alternatively you could just understand what you have been told above instead of confusing the simple issue with your stubborn misunderstanding

Yeah all pro level store type photocopiers have scanner built into them - take the documents to the 'print shop' and tell them you want them scanning and emailing to you

You will receive an email with the scanned images which you can then forward on to whoever needs them.

I have an 'all in one printer' at home which prints, copies and scans - it's a cheaper version of the half a million and up Baht printer, copier and scanners they they have in these print shops.

You might not realise this but in order to produce a high resolution photocopy when you put the document into the machine - it first scans it - then it prints it - and these newer fancy modern machines which have now been around for 20 years can save them to disk as well - as scanned images. It's totally normal and run of the mill since long ago.

Take a photo with your phone.  Save it or convert it to a PDF.  A pdf file is what a copy/scanner typically outputs.  The jpeg format or PNG format your phone camera may save the photo as would not be acceptable as he seems to want a scan which usually means pdf

For future use if you do a lot of single page scanning, there are hand held scanners out there you can buy.  Swipe them over the page.  Some look like wands.

Easiest is to go to any of the stores others have posted that are in the area.  A few years ago when Internet cafes were still popular, many of them had copy/scanners.  Many Travel agency shops have copy/scanners.  Just ask if you can use them for one page and offer 20 or 50 baht for a tip..  Machine can send the scanned pdf file to an email address you enter or bring a Thumb drive and save it to that
