Last time I got one at immigration they also wanted proof of why I needed a COR, in this case they copied my car blue book which I was getting a new one. Time after that I let an agent get it... seemed simpler!

No blue yellow or rental - could be interesting. Think I used a copy of my internet bill or driving licence address last time......

Could say getting a car or motorbike driving licence that's sufficient

As well as stuff listed above

They want to see a TM30 ? report of address

also need to fill in the 'new' form  in which they now ask for a purpose of the COR   and that will be reflected on the actual certificate..so if its for a drivers license  then state that on the application for..note that the DLT accepts one original and one copy  if you need a car and motorcycle licence no need to pay for two original COR...sorry for the low resolution of the attached form...not my fault  the forum software compresses the image too much !!!

I visited jomtiem immigration today to obtain a certificate of residency for a new bank account ( dumping BB )

they wanted photocopies of

front page of my  passport

entry stamp page from my passport

Retirement stamp from my passport

completed application letter with the reason for the request

Lease contract

copy of the house book

copy of the owners ID card

two photos

B300

a visit to desk 10, then desk 9

immigration was the busiest I’ve seen it.. two trips in the queue for around 45 minutes each

I was always concerned my lie would be written on the COR effectively restricting what it could be used for. It still irritates me that I need to go get 'permission' from the headmaster at immigration to do many a basic thing..... twenty years on and still a puppet on a string!

They will check that your TM30 is current.

It was available in my paperwork, but not asked for

The TM30 was enough for them as a proof of address.

Just last week.

Seems it may depend on what you give them initially or different people perhaps....

Just come back -

At main info desk initially offered passport and copies of front page, entry stamp page and latest extension of stay stamp page and 2 pictures.

He looked through and found my old TM30 and asked if I was still at that address and said needed copy of that which I had prepared.

I had forgotten to bring a pen and I was surprisingly allowed to borrow one to complete the application.

After I had brought all back to him at the info desk he gave me a number and I went to Counter 9 where I was eventually called. Only issue for me was it was about 2.30ish and had to wait until after 4pm to collect as looks like they only do collections 3x per day at set times according to a notice.

Thanks to all who replied.
