Phuket marine police have arrested three Indian nationals for operating an unlicensed kitchen on a yacht at Chalong Pier, Phuket.

The arrests were carried out under the supervision of Police Major General Setthasiri Nippaya, with Police Colonel Thanawat Hinyokhin, Police Lieutenant Colonel Wisanu Jinawong, and Sub-Lieutenant Kongkhlang Thammethaporn leading the operation.

The suspects, Mr Kumar, 29, Mr Honey, 34 and Mr Armanjot, 20, were charged with working without valid work permits. Authorities discovered the men preparing Indian cuisine on board during a crackdown on illegal activities at the pier.

All three admitted that they had been hired by another Indian national, Mr Rikhi, to cook on the yacht, receiving 700 baht each for their work. They were taken to Chalong Police Station for further legal proceedings.

The incident highlights ongoing enforcement efforts against unauthorised employment and unregulated business operations in Phuket’s maritime areas.
