Pls Settle Debate On Kite Flying

Featured Replies

A few days back a friend and I had a disagreement over a few beers discussing a Thai slang term.

He said that the term for a HJ (where a wo/man is massaging your _______) is the same phrase as mast__ bating. I said I seriously doubted that. There's gotta be a more accurate phrase or word. I think that phrase is used more to describe taking care of the situation oneself and there's gotta be a more accurate phrase when giving - not receiving from oneself.

We tried google translate, but did not resolve the issue

Excuse the phonetics. Phrase in question: chugk wow

Next, does anyone know of a free resource for Thai slang?

Thanks

I believe the term 'chuck wow' can be used in both cases.

Not the same action at all.

We used Translate and kite flying definitely came up as a verb (of course). There were other words, but this we agreed was the best choice from Translate

I have one for you.  (sorry about the phonetics)

Ha Rung Nung

Five fighting one

Learnt from a Thai in Phuket but never heard it used further north

Yes sorry, I agree,  bj is wrong  flying a kite really describes the action. Gota keep pulling on the string to keep the kite in motion.

Wonder what they call it in Balinese as they have these huge kites that take 15 men to launch  and control them.

Was it used as a query or statement?

Can your five fight my one?

Last night five fought one.

Thanks. Very deceptive. Doubt I'll be using that one much 😉

Thai For Lovers has most of the colloquial slang sex terms.  Bought that when I first got here and was in "Sex Tourist" Mode.

 "See, all you over-sexed Westerners are the same.  Over-sexed, over-paid, and over-here," well to coin the old WWII Brit saying.
Sure, why not.  When in Rome, do as the Romans.
When in Bangkok and you still have a sex-drive, do as Murray Head - One Night In Bangkok.  Brilliant song!

And the city don't know that the city is getting
The creme de la creme of the chess world
In a show with everything but Yul Brynner

One night in Bangkok and the world's your oyster
The bars are temples but the pearls ain't free

You don't understand the Thai language, it's very basic and simple.

Kite flying describes a man masturbating.

Have to bash first.

You don't even understand the English language

Precisely

A man masturbating himself. Exactly what I said. Exactly

I thought there was probably a different word or phrase for when another does that for him.

Thanks.

Just a simple question.

20 minutes ago, KhaoHom said:

ชักว่าวให้ผมหน่อย

"would you be so kind enough to jrk me off?"

If you want a more formal translation then perhaps use the term "masturbate" with Google translate rather than hand job. It's not something I've ever needed to discuss in a formal setting, and strangely enough it never came up (ha!) in Thai language classes.

A while back the word jill started being used for female self-pleasure (opposite of jack).  Didn't catch on.

You'll find a god in every golden cloister

And for all these years I thought they were saying "golden oyster."  Well, really now, they're singing about Bkk after all.

"Pearls," not "girls ain't free" ?  I suspect this is from one of those sites where they sanitize the lyrics.

Haha I'll put that into translate. Is that proper usage or did you string that together?

We looked up the word using masturbate seemed most direct. Hand job is colloquial as is kite flying so I think you're in the right direction, but the issue is that this is slang and colloquial Thai so I didn't think to even try it in Google. Even if there is a return it doesn't mean it's actually used or is even known. Just Google translate.

Thanks

I put it together myself.

I haven't asked anybody if it's grammatically correct but it certainly seems to be understood when used.

What language is chugk wow supposed to be? The Google translator couldn't figure it out.

You are seemingly the only person that hasn't understood. Take note 😉

Here's a good site for general translations, slang etc.

thai-language.com

e.g search for "masturbate" and it tells you the chak-waao is an idiom for male masturbation. There are a number of idioms for both male and female self-indulgence, and also several correct or formal terms.  Just as in any language, Thai has many idioms, play on words, and double entendre in common use. :coffee1:

Duly noted.

ชักว่าว - chuk wao is the slang term for male masterbation.

Chuk Wao translates as repeatedly pulling or jerking the kite string in order to keep the kite flying.

Hence the term is used as slang for w anking due to the similar action involved.

The term Chuk Wao is often heard during the kite flying festival in Pattaya as it is appropriate and not at all rude when used in correct context.

ชัก is also used in the phrase, กดชักโครก, 'to flush a toilet'. I believe ชัก, in this case, refers to the type of toilet where you 'tug' on a rope or cord to release the water.

ชักโครก refers to any modern style flushable toilet.  กด Is to press.
