Anyone on daily Tadadafil (Cialis) to control blood pressure?

Featured Replies

I'm 57, somehow with a hot british girl (25) but still had problems "downstairs" initiating sex.  Just lacked the will, even though she never says no.  Age has a lot to blame for.

Anyway, she suggested I go to ED clinic, which I did.  Consultant gave me a prescription for Tadadafil 5mg to take daily, for "life".

Benefits being, obviously, I'm "up" a large part of the night, lowers blood pressure and reduces changes of Prostate Cancer.  Holy grail.

But I find, I'm more comfortable taking it 2 out of 3 or 4 nights as the constant erection get annoying and I'm afraid of damage for extended periods of erectiveness.

Any experiences anyone also taking a similar dose?

That's the lowest dose and I think very little risk. Enjoy it.

According to my knowledge Cialis has no effect on prostate cancer prevention but is used to treat symptoms of Prostate hypertrophy by relaxing the blood vessels which can help with urination. And of course it is great for erectile dysfunction.

How does it affect blood pressure? Cialis can slightly lower blood pressure. This is not a problem for most men, but Cialis' effect on blood pressure is exaggerated if the Cialis is taken with a nitrate drug.

Expensive way to control BP but with special added benefit 🚀💥

Given the equation I'm guessing you're probably fairly fit - or fairly wealthy lol

Do you exercise? I don't really know if exercise has helped me per se, but I feel better and there are indications that I'm performing better.

Basic exercise, 10k steps, a bit of jogging if possible and Kegel exercises

Clean up your diet

* If you have high BP that should be controlled anyway. High BP can and often does vascular damage and ED.

I take a half tab every other day for BPH. Works the way I need it too for that, plus the side benefits. Every other day doesn't keep me standing tall, except when I'm thinking about sex. Otherwise, it just keeps me from peeing several times a night.

I have the same issue at night without Cialis, I wouldn't worry about it, some men can only dream of having that problem

I have been taking 5mg a day fir past year, no issues, was not prescribed for ED but for prostate issues, has managed to fix both so win/win - long term low dose Cialis use is fine.  I even take high blood pressure medicine, no averse effect, but as always, do not experiment, I was under doctors care and he checked me every week to see if any issues - none so far.

It definately helps with reducing blood pressure, not just slightly.  Obviously, I'm not meant to take any nitrates with it, which I don't

I get a months supply for about £10 in UK so not too expensive.  I don't exercise, but not overweight either although I'm sure exercise would help.

I thought there must be someone in similar position to me.  Glad to hear you are not taking it every day for similar reasons.  Otherwise I can't roll over in the bed at night!

I did go to an ED consultant Doctor to get this medication.  I suggested it to him that I would like to try daily tablets, and with the research I had done, seemed to help with any potential prostate cancer issues.  He was taken aback that I knew that and wrote me a prescription immediately afterwards

Good to know.  I'm not on high blood pressure tablets yet as it's not too high, but that time will come soon no doubt

Anyone know if the generic (Tadalafil) is available in Thailand? (From a reputable pharmacy I mean). The brand-name Cialis is very expensive.

I was prescribed 5mg tadalafil daily by a Dr. in Jomtien in conjunction with testosterone therapy.  I stayed with the program for two years then quit as I was loosing interest in the whole game.

Most BP drugs can have the side-effect of making you light headed or even dizzy when quickly standing after sitting for a long while.  I noticed this lightheadedness was more pronounced when taking tadalafil as well as having delayed reaction, not feeling the lightheadedness until about 45 seconds after standing.  After quitting the tadalafil and resuming my previous BP medication, this effect was less pronounced.  I never fell but there were a few times when I started walking too soon after standing and felt very shaky.

I take half a capsule about twice a month ( or as needed ) just for the blood pressure effect. I notice that amlodipine makes no visible difference to my blood pressure. Prenolol makes a big difference but has been discredited as although apparently effective studies showed that it did not impact on mortality rates.

The low dose I take of Cialis makes a visible difference ( on BP monitor ) and the effect seems to last for a few days. I don't like taking a whole capsule since it gives me hot flushes and makes my face look red plus excessive use seems to lessen the effect on my blood pressure.

Oh dear ....please leave your opinion about "this is not the best place to ask '

Many people here on this forum  have far far far more knowledge than your "qualified physician " who turns out to be 26yo Dr Raji Singh who wouldn't have a clue and just finished University!!!

Please don't be so naive to have faith in someine who done a 6 year uni course but never experienced it

Many people report that Storect is a softer clone for male enhancement. Very popular in Europe and Australia.

Pharmacies here seem to sell Apcialis, not sure if it's different to the street hawkers

ah, yes, Medical professionals are not to be trusted, they all have hidden agendas, mostly left wing eh?

Scientists are just really over schooled Lefties trying to make our children gay is that it? Intellectuals of all sorts are tearing down society by offering their expert advice that any Joe Shmo garbage hauler would be more qualified giving is that it?

what a clown trolling for information.

Run away fast from anyone who believes that they are better qualified than educated medical professionals to offer health care advice.

Either a troll or truly deranged.

Doubt that. Maybe it’s your diet of what is/isn't going in your body.

CONFUSED !!!! Quite some time ago, I asked my GP if I could exchange my standart BP medication to CIALIS. (For the additional benefit). He said no, because cialis would not help my specific BP problem. Similar posts here in the past seem to have supported this view.

The question is simple: Why can CIALIS not replace "standart BP medication"?

Is the small daily dose of Cialis safer than using the Kamagra Gels does anyone know?

What is the cost of the generic? I was prescribed 5mg Cialis but can't justify the cost of taking it every day, hopefully maybe I could if the generic is cheaper.

Last i heard, I don't need it yet, they sell Copy Cialis (yellow green label bottle) 600 baht for 30 20mg, cut in half, have one every 2 days.

Alternatively Apcialis is around 300 baht for 4 tablets 20mg.

Depends if you feel comfortable buying from a street hawker, many do

Good point.  Maybe my BP is not too high and the Tadadafil is sufficient.  I guess in time I will also need BP tablets too

The rule of thumb is very simple, and does not come doctors or the pharmaceutical industry.

Take an amount that create the desired effect, when the need is perceived as nearly imminent (smile).

Trial and error.

Start with half a 5 mg tablet. And increase the dose if the effect is not strong enough. Up to the 20mg tablet. Beyond that, the fight becomes against nature and genetics. The amount should be based on the person's need, and taking it every day does not appears to support that.

Doctors will lean on the side of what the pharmaceutical industry claims, and the pharmaceutical industry leans on the side of profits.
