Who? Oh now I recall he is a former PM, and a guy who was somewhat relevant politically up until a couple years ago, and is now completely disgraced, banished, completely irrelevant, disliked or despised by most, and way over the hill.

That thing about the private airport in Singapore is a joke, Surely with his connections down there, even if the private airport was closed, they could have accommodated him at Changi.

I think he just crashed the world commodities market for horse manure.

Tomorrow's news today:

A certain high-ranking US celebrity, flying from DC to Florida, accidentally re-routed his flight to Moscow.

Appearing on RT at his arrival there he said "It was night, it was very dark, nobody knows what happened."

DAMN i CALLED THAT RIGHT Plane has been warming up on the tarmac for a month.

Unless there is a miracle he and thePTP are finished.

First he let u\his daughter prove the noptism and lack of an actionalbel plan to help his voters let alone the country.

Again when things look bad forhim and prove that he broke the law he runs and hides.

Itis gong to be interesting to see which party picks up the votes and MP's

The PTP is going to hve a lot of defections on the leadership vote.

Yes, that was another option but according to flight trackers, the original departure and destination were "n/a" which may suggest some subterfuge with identity and intent. It's only after turning over Malaysia, circling over the Indian Ocean and the brief gap in flight track during which the new flight plan was filed, that the full flight information is revealed.

The man can't even lie straight in bed.

But can fly straight, with a few slight turns etc all the way to Dubai

The story is too long to tell in just one post, so just the clef notes:

Thaksin is a pathological liar, a thief, a racist, a mass murderer (2 mass genocides under his tenure) and from the beginning of his political career right up to today, he has caused more political instability to Thailand then any other person.

He is also a scheming, self serving narcissist, who will switch sides at the drop of a hat just to stay in the picture, occasionally throwing his own family members under the bus, to save his own skin.

I now hold the personal opinion that his main goal in life now (after his own self preservation) is to destroy Thailand politicly, in the belief (in his mind only) that he will be accepted with open arms and become Thailand's saviour.

I had a post removed due to breaking guidelines, it was due to defamation invovling Thaksin....

Only in thailand ! A convicted criminal with a history of fleeing prosecution for nearly a decade is allowed to leave the country with a case pending smh

I have to say it must be amazing to have the kind of money that allows a person to move in and out of the everyday world like these people can.

They live in a world behind the world.

okay, time to summon Liverpool Lou

ahh yeah, they should get Interpol involved to catch him, they had that notice for the Redbull guy who they won't arrest. something is up with that for sure.

that should do it

In my limited experience flying as a passenger in executive jets, the tanks are always full at take off, regardless of the flight duration. This allows for emergencies, route changes but most significantly, refueling expenses in overseas destinations.

Not saying you are wrong but, executive jets vary by operator, mission, and regulation (e.g., EASA vs. FAA rules). Short hops might not need full tanks, and weight restrictions (e.g., payload-range trade-offs) could limit fuel on some flights. Data from NBAA (2024) shows 60% of business jet flights are under 500 nm, where full tanks are less common unless planned for long-range capability.

One simple question perhaps already asked. If flight was delayed why not postpone depature till next morning instead of flying countless hours to arrive today. He could have safely tucked himself in bed for the night and departed to Singapore this morning. I am sure the doctor's appointment was for today.

WHY does a state allow to be fooled itself like this ??

Notice shortly after clearing Thai airspace , the aircraft crew most likely request destination change from Malay Air Control as Thai may have not allowed.

As well the crew, ATC, and the aircraft advanced computers would have known they would not arrive Selatar before airport closure time based on their DMK departure time.  Also, the computerized flight plan would have indicated this as well.

Required Fuel plus alternate fuel for SIN would be significantly less  the same requirement for DXB.  Granted, some companies will keep their aircraft prefueled for an expected flight duration.  However in doing so, can limited the pax and cargo load.

If it smells like a skunk, it probably is.

Makes no difference to me, couldn’t care less about Thai politics, but there’s always two sides to a story

No doubt you could present a case for the man.

because the "state" is happy if he is gone .... it would be the same as 2008, as he fleed and the problem (teflon toni) was solved ...

There is always someone in authority that likes to have full pockets.  Probably nothing in LOS you can't get for giving a six-figure Rolex as a gift.

He's done this before, it's now practically a sitcom trope.

Yes you can, but not if you want to make up some fanciful excuse for NOT going to either Hua Hin or Singapore as Dubai was the original plan all along.

Accepted. My limited experience admittedly isn't a universal (but a bit more than @Hamus Yaigh's copious minivan experience).

The fact remains this aircraft departed DMK with enough fuel to go to Dubai and probably beyond.

Heard from the grapevine that Singapore doesn’t want to host him.
The last time he was in exile his plane made a stop in Singapore apparently for refueling but was seen dining with Singapore’s high level officials. That incident drew the ire with the then Thai junta.
