Went to immigration 2 days ago to do that. Requirements:

1) previous canceled passport, copy of picture  page, copy of last arrival stamp, copy of current extension stamp, copy of previous transferred extension stamp

2) new passport, copy of picture page

3) Transfer Stamp to new Passport Form

4) Updated Bank Account Book used for extension

5) My Embassy's Website provides a downloadable letter to Thai Immigration called "Notification-of-cessation-of-linkage-letters", which basically states their policy about Embassy Certification letters.

Note: the process is done at the same counters for Visa extensions, so one can make online appointment for that, just show up with sufficient time for Document Check Counter.

Re Next 90 Day Report, have to come in person because of new passport number.

After the stamps are in your new passport you should now visit your the Home Bank branches where you originally made your accounts and update them, you need old and new passport.

Contact your Sim Provider for their update procedure.

Consider any other institution (Thai, or home country) that has your passport number on file if update is required...

Sounds like you use the Bangkok immigration office.

As far as I know they're the only one that requires an updated bank book when you move extensions based on retirement stamps to a new passport.

Seeing as there is no choice to transfer stamps on the appt booking site, did you just selected extension based on retirement instead?

Someone reported a while ago that they did that but were turned away and had to get a regular cue number and wait it out instead.

Glad it worked for you..

@klauskunkel Clear report ta

Just for others dealing with CW for transfer of stamps..

Not only did they require my bankbook (new requirement) I was made to run off down to my bank to update.

She also wanted copy of bb pages back to start of current extension.

So Kasikorn folk be aware the branch at CW closes in September 12.

Leaving the transfer till a time when you have other business is good plan.

For the OP that was his 90 report. You can make appointment for 90 report recommended.

When I had the visa stamps transferred to my new passport earlier in the year, I asked the IO to do a new 90 day report for me at the same time, even though I still had nearly a month to go on my existing one.

This was Korat Immigration. I don't know whether other offices are equally obliging but it saved me making a further trip to do my 90 day report in person. I was able to submit my following report on line as usual.

It's worth asking your office.

how long did the process took for them to transfer the stamps?

I'm going to do the exact same thing next week going in around 1pm and I have an appointment for the 90 days report at 2.30pm

1.30 hours is it a reasonable time frame?

Thank you

They should cut some slack with time slot for the 90 report.

As for the transfer be aware of the requirements.

Already outlined in the thread.

The Bank book needs an update on day of transfer.

You state arrive about 1pm.

That would be worst time.

Without a Que ticket obtained prior to lunch break you will line up (long line) to attend desk issuing queue tickets.

Best to arrive just prior to lunch break 12pm.

Get your ticket. Go have lunch in food court L1.

Or do photocopies etc.

When reopens at 1pm you go to left side of long que and you will go straight in.

The process from Document Check to Submitting Documents to passport with stamps took about 45min.

Although it depends if they let you do an online appointment (I did using the "Extension Visa" reason, it's not guaranteed because this is "Transfer Stamp" and there is no such reason for online appointment. If they don't allow it, you will need to get a queue number and wait a couple of hours. I got lucky, it doesn't hurt to try.)

I am on a non O Extension Thai wife so this does not apply to me.

Nah, no online appointments are available until October 7th so I will just go in next week and try my luck

Obviously, you cannot produce your old PP if it was replaced due to loss or theft.

I am so happy I deal with Phitsanulok IO. They got all my old data from their backroom computer, and stamped my new PP there & then, 30 minutes, no charge. Printed me a new TM30 based on the old one from 5 years ago.

Be aware that you can do the transfer anytime.

I always suggest do it when you have another thing to attend to.

For example annual extension or TM47 etc.

BTW: don't approve of OP idea of making an appointment for extension when in reality was there to transfer stamps.

The slots available for extensions are often few and far between.

If I was the io would have sent him to main desk for queue ticket.

Also surprised the doc check girls did nothing.

Also make sure the transfer form is filled in.

Desk won't give you ticket without filled in form.

I m going in for the 90 days report also that's is why I m also doing this transfer stamps.

I'm planning to do the Non-O Extension Thai wife on the 26th in the morning. However, I don’t want to do the transfer stamps on the same day, just in case there isn’t enough time.

I just don’t trust both things to work out smoothly at Immigration in one go......

I’ve been living in Thailand since 2006, so I’ve learned not to push my luck at Immigration.

That only works at smaller immigration offices where everything is done in one room. 🙂

Can't do that at Chaengwattana because where you get stamps transferred isn't even the same office (or the same floor)as where you do 90 day reporting  😕

Sorry for the off topic comment

Not off topic.

Can you advise the process if your office is "Nakhon Somewhere"

Do they need to attend larger regional office or just office where stamps were issued? Ta

While I am not exactly sure, I would hazard a guess that they can recover the entry/extension/re-entry stamps from their data base without having to request it.

The reason Bangkok has two spots is they split the free stamp/visa-on-arrival extension section and lost/stolen passport section from the main office at Chaengwattana and moved it over to IT Square Laksi, which is why you start the process of stamp recovery from lost/stolen passports there.

Most up country offices are just one office that does everything, in that office (often just a few desks 😮 ) so I'd imagine they'd be able to do it all in one fell swoop 🙂

Back to OP transfer of stamps.

Regarding reentry permit...

If you obtain your reentry permit at airport, be aware that your immigration office will not transfer it.

Would need to be done at airport.

Most would do it on next trip out of Thailand or just travel with both passports.
