September 26, 2025Sep 26 Popular Post How can be sure that these food items sold online are not fakes or poorly stored that would alter their safety in consumption ? For sure, one could also hit on poor quality items in a regular store. But the odds increase when purchasing through places like Laz or similar, IMHO.

September 27, 2025Sep 27 Author These were not what I expected, thinking Jacobs Cream, but more like Graham crackers. Not bad though, small hard crackers with salty spreadable cream cheese. 4 crackers in 16 individually wrapped packets.

Yeah great value, even at Villa market they are only 60 baht, and no free shipping or other discounts needed for that price.

It certainly isn't cheap, but I really liked a lot of stuff that wasn't available in other supermarkets in my area. Their ready cooked meals were quite good too.

Online for food, definitely has it's limitations, as you wouldn't order fresh meats or even frozen items, unless shipped as, and always at a premium. Besides, meats, I need to see and hands on. Most other things, you'll find cheaper online, especially if not ordering 1 piece, if shipping costs involved. Strange how laptop & phone app discounts differ, or 1st time links vs cookie'd links.
September 27, 2025Sep 27 How come everyone appears to do their online shoping via Lazada. Am I the only one that uses Shopee? I stopped using Lazada years ago.

As above shows, we use both, though I do have a tendency to reorder from same vendor/store. Almost did, oops, so nice having smart wife. Also ordered off producer's site, along with Central online sometimes, and HomePro, via there app and LAZ/Shopee. IF all things equal, the price dictates who & where ordered from. Somethings having warranties, then that's a consideration who to order from. Supplements, then iHerb seem to be the best, and 29% off till end of month, though we are well stocked up on the few we take.

Generally Lazada is better prices (with vouchers and coins) for lighter goods, and Shopee is better for heavy goods. I always buy my 30kg rabbit food from Shopee as the transport is cheaper.

September 28, 2025Sep 28 After reading this thread I ordered a few things from Lazada and was very pleased with the dates I received, however the Lindt dark chocolate (with orange chips) had a severe "white bloom" and it surely didn't taste as good as the "non-bloom chocolate". I copied this from another site and it appears that this "bloom" can affect the taste, so I won't be ordering any more of this from Lazada....... Is it okay to eat dark chocolate that has turned white? Can you eat chocolate that's bloomed? Chocolate bloom might look unappetizing, but it's completely safe to eat. That doesn't mean you'll want to eat it, though, as flavor and texture can both be compromised. “Bloom usually strips the chocolate of some of its most pleasing qualities,”
