Recent Violence at ICE Facility

Since June 2025, daily protests outside the Portland ICE facility have escalated, with Antifa-affiliated rioters engaging in repeated attacks on federal officers.

On June 24, a rioter was arrested for shining a high-powered laser into the eyes of an ICE Special Response Team officer, leading to federal charges for assault on a federal officer.

Another rioter was charged for picking up a smoke grenade thrown by police and hurling it back, striking an officer in the forearm and abdomen.

On June 29, a protester was arrested for attempting to damage facility equipment, resisting arrest, and assaulting officers by grabbing an officer in the genitals and kicking them.

Antifa-affiliated groups have also engaged in doxing, publishing the private information and home addresses of ICE agents online, and sending death threats to DHS personnel.

So you want to take Trump down because Ribeyes are too expensive?    We need to do something about that 5th grade writing level. Gofundme grammar classes maybe.

  • I heard that trump is planning to invade Australia, in order to let the Aborigines rule again.

That you call youself "Fact" is a bad joke. Should think about changing it to "alternative Fact".

Ahhh, Antifa. Another MAGA dog whistle. Listening to the Trump fanboys on AN one would think they were right up there with SPECTRE wrt to power, reach and cleverness.

Very amusing. ANTIFA headquarters.

They deliberately seem to have no headquarters or leader precisely to avoid facing being legally prosecuted as an organization, but it doesn't mean they're not an organization. They just have good legal advice.

Wow. They might not exist, but that doesn't mean they don't exist? Like the boogeyman?

They might not exist like the Hunter Biden laptop?

Apparently there is (or was) also a right-wing extremist group called Patriot Prayer.

So anyone taking sides may want to take note.

The most notorious episode involving the movement occurred in Portland, Oregon, in August 2020 when Michael Reinoehl, a self-identified antifa supporter, shot and killed Aaron “Jay” Danielson, a member of the far-right group Patriot Prayer.

He lies about everything. Just some are to ignorant to realise or admit it.

Please somebody enlighten me: What happened to the famous "check and balances"? Not much reaches congress/senate. Trump is governing this country by "decree". How much legislation can a US president enforce without having the approval of Capitol Hill?

Seems to me that Trump can govern this country by decree and the folks on Capitol Hill are reduced to mere spectators. The spectators finding nothing wrong when their country is converted to an authoritarian regime.

Please, somebody "in the know" tell me how Trump can govern this country by decree?

Are you denying that ANTIFA is not causing violence in Portland?

They trade in dumb jokes. Some of us look at reality.

There is no longer any lack of clarity for Trump's intentions, some examples below, yet many still support him - why?

Trump flouts the rules. What happened to our checks and balances?

The Trump administration’s announcement last week about the new regulations for H-1B visas, including that most will now require a $100,000 fee, made headlines. But few pointed out that, as usual, the president played fast and loose with the rules, which in this case require a prior period of public notice and comment, while invoking national security to levy the fee.

Critics blasts Trump admin for firing FBI agents who took knee at George Floyd protest

Choke on it': Trump dismisses outrage at his political prosecutions

President Donald Trump has ordered the deployment of US troops to Portland, Oregon, authorising use of "full force" if needed, to suppress protests targeting immigration detention centres.

There are numerous other examples in the public space; to repeat there are not any doubts of salutatorian  direction of the Trump Administration

You could have made it easy. Trump is a puppet controlled by russia

Just wait until the supreme court start taking up cases, and kicks Trump back to reality.

First case will be the tariffs, which will bankrupt the US if the supreme court rules as they should.

Then there are a few more cases on which the supreme court will disagree with Trump, regardless that he weaponised the court previously

That is true.   Have you noticed that they do not engage with my posts about executive overreach? This is because they cannot defend their weak views when challenged.

How does this differ from past administrations?

Nobody engaged with your posts when you still called yourself Frank either

I have noticed they are not good at arguing.

Also the comedy is quite poor.

Trump had the chance to appoint some judges. Now the majority consists of conservatives/trumpists. The last defence against authoritarian rule is therefore rendered ineffective.

Authoritarian?  How is this any different than past administrations?

Some Trump appointed lackeys already have disagreed with him on other events. The supreme court will be the final test, but I have such a feeling that it will be difficult for them to not rule that Trump had no authority for the tariffs using the executive order he used

Why did the civil right marches need to be protected?

To stop violence, like Trump is trying to stop violence.

Congress did pass the power of taffies to the president.    Maybe the Democrats can run on rolling it back.

To the best of my knowledge, so far the SC has always voted in favor of Trump-Matters.

Which cases has the supreme court taken in Trump 2?

Because the slim Republican majority in the house, under the leadership (?) of modest Mike Johnson (to paraphrase Winston Churchill " a modest man with mu h to be modest about") have completely abrogated any responsibility for governing.

That's about tariffs. It goes beyound tariffs.
