September 30, 2025Sep 30 A friend of mine who visits Pattaya at least once a year from abroad, tells me that the price for special services have nearly doubled in the last 12 months alone. And the women are uglier, fatter and older. And all this is happening at a time when tourism is really down, and most of the massage joints and bars are really suffering, figure that one out.
September 30, 2025Sep 30 Popular Post hahahahaha, havent been back to Australia for several years now and the last time I was there all those things were more expensive than they are now here in Thailand, blood work is covered under govt benefits, you are not thai so pay for it here same as you pay for enything medical here and not back home. Anyone with half a brain knows medical is free for most aussies in Australia, I know if I need major medical work I can go home and get it for free, sounds like you are just a pathetic whinger wanting everything for free. Better for you to f off and never come bak so we dont have to listen to your pathetinc whinging

One gets Thai's that are angry at the lack of money but will not lower prices due to pride and lack of humility. The result is likely more violent incidents and blow ups.

A "friend of yours"? Really? True story? You seem to easily endorse your "friends" observations. Hint-next time you visit, try the small sois.🙃🙃
September 30, 2025Sep 30 People who don't like Thailand are never happy. Vietnam won't be any better.

I was in Da Nang last year and there was constant rain until the end of November. December okay. Hoi An floods regularly. I was in Hanoi about 7 years back in November. Cool weather. In general I thought the people seemed rather intense. I also went to Phu Quoc which was okay. Vietnam okay for a break away but I personally wouldnt want to live there. Others say they love it there. My views are purely subjective. You may view it in a different light.

People are great, food is good, accommodation is way cheaper and much better value than Thailand, Beaches are beautiful, quiet (time of year of course) some good bars and restaurants, well worth a look - I wish I had visited 20 years ago. As for pricing, well I can buy good beer cheaper in the UK than in Thailand these days and Vietnam is even cheaper. The currency however will drive you nuts!

I've been there three times over the last 25 years with and without my Thai girlfriend, and I enjoyed it but it's not some place I need to go back to, and it's not some place I would ever consider living. Primary factor for me is that I just find the people to be fairly dour and not nearly as light-hearted, fun loving and humorous as the Thais. But maybe that's just me cuz a lot of guys seem to love the place.

While that is true, the fact of the matter is there are more and more opportunities for women online these days, and the super hot babes that used to be available at the bars for 1,500 baht are now doing escort work for 10 to 50 times that amount. Tbings have changed alot.

I loved Da Nang, stayed at the Centre Hotel, double room, nice and clean, about 300 Baht /night - similar hotel in Bangkok would easily be over 1000 Baht - One thing though about the Vietnamese hotels, their bathrooms are a bit strange. You go into the bathroom and there is a massive 8 foot by 4 foot picture window in the bathroom that looks into THE BEDROOM! You can take a dump in full view of anyone in the room at the time, makes a nice change I suppose. I meant to say that I made a terrible mistake by going to the tourist trap - Hoi An, if you hate fake tourist areas, give this place a wide berth, it was horrible, fake, scammers, rip off fruit sellers. There is so much more interesting places to visit, Hoi An is the worst place I have visited there.
