My (Thai) missus hasn't been to the dentist for over a year and is now complaining of tooth ache - The problem though is that she's terrified of going ....

 

Can you good people recommend a dentist (who you have used personally) who'll be sympathetic to her problem and doesn't have a several month wait ?

 

North Pattaya preferably, but consider central Pattaya  ....

if you have a car, i went to K and K Dental recently for a root canal treatment, crown, 3 fillings, 2 temp fillings and a a cleaning.  All in all the 4 visits came to (Root canal 9000 TBH, Fillings 800 TBH per filling, Temp crown 1000 TBH, final crown 18000 TBH and cleaning 1000 TBH) so all in all 30 K. I found that very reasonable priced and the lady dentist had very soft hands making the treatment quite pleasant as far as dentist procedures go. The location was at the Jomtien exit to the left of Sukhumvit. (between sukhumvit and where the bypass paralel road ends at the train track) Very recommended.

 

Have been to the German dentist on Thappraya road in the past, but found the actual dentist less skillfull. His assistant was helping him a lot. There is a german owner onsite who gives reference checks and the pricing and he is quite nice, but he does not do the treatments. The pricing there was quite a bit more expensive though for an crown. was an few years ago, but well over 30-35 K only for the crown placement and temp crown. (2 visits)

 

We used to use one on the cut through between Beach Road  soi 7 and soi 8 (if still there)

 

She was very pleasant and friendly.

she tried them - when booking an appointment, there was a 3 week wait ...as the date came nearer and nearer, she got more and more stressed...on the day of the appointment, we arrived 10 min early .... 35 min later we were still waiting ..My lady walked out, vowing never to return.... so on-wards and upwards ...

This place is not too far from us ....  When checking the exact location on Google maps, i read through the reviews and people are raving about the guy ...  she's away at the mo, but when she's back, will get her to ring Pro Dent for an appointment, hopefully can see her quickly ....

I presume she was booked in with Khun Warin and not his wife.

I have used BHP dental department in the past. Last year had root canal / crown, plus a separate tooth extraction. Cost about 45k, self pay. 

Process very efficient with early appointments / minimal waiting time and excellent service by the dental team.

I had poor service previously from a smaller Pattaya practice, not mentioned in this thread so far, so was prepared to pay that bit extra for professional treatment. The cost may not suit some but, for me, it was perfect.

Yes I use that lady I think... she is very pleasant and sometimes hums music to you while working. But the one I think of is on the road between soi 7 and Klang, Grover Bespoke Taylor at the corner, and Ali Baba Indian restaurant.

I had occasion to visit Dr Warin in 2020 to replace a crown that had come adrift.

My note says "visited Dr Warin who refitted it without drama – 500 Baht"
