Only "Superhumans" in US military

So strange that an overweight, blubbery Commander-in-Chief can seriously listen to an alcoholic telling generals to get fit. Ulysses S. Grant was a robust general and seemed to be a pretty good military leader.

And I suppose you find it strange that crippled and wheel chair bound Franklin D. Roosevelt (FDR) who is know for leading the USA through the Great Depression and World War 2 can seriously listen to General Patton, a war hero, who slapped and yelled at soldiers in an army hospital.

  • Odd that the drunkard SecWar installed a make-up room next to his Pentagon office, and the "Commander-in-Chief" as well as his VP wear more make-up than a drag queen on a Mardi Gras parade float.

  • Are your fetishes appropriate for this Board?

  • Exactly. The hypocrisy is, as usual, cranked up all the way to 10.

Did you notice how incredibly silent the room was when Trump walked in? I think it's obvious that he's despised by the military and completely disrespected by most soldiers, the man has no honor, no dignity, no courage  and he's not a patriot.

The same applies for Hesgeth. I can only imagine how those very accomplished generals and admirals must have felt being lectured by this rather unimpressive former TV host, who was somehow elevated to the post of Secretary of Defense, for completely ridiculous reasons, without anything in the way of qualifications or experience.

And military recruiting is better than it's been in a long time.

You figure that may be because nobody wants to sign up to take a hill with a fatty on his left and a chick on his right?

I despise Hegseth, buddy. I really do. That tattooed p***-ant with slick-back hair standing in front of a room full of men and women who've served their country honorably for decades, lecturing them on "warrior ethos" is something I'll never forget.

And if you think that's in any way, shape or form OK then you hate your country, plain and simple.

So we agree it is NOT an abbreviation which was the point I made!

PS; I don't give a toss about the meaning/background that all you AI/Google warriors are pontificating about over what you are now agreeing was not an abbreviation!

I don't know what is more laughable, you arguing over whether the German word "Übermensch" is an abbreviation or not, or bubblegum thinking the "Übermensch" could be a soldier and is blonde and blue eyed.

Clearly BLM's abbreviation mention referred to the letters "OP", not "Übermensch", which any retard can see is not an abbreviation.

Every time you think this forum cannot sink any lower on an intellectual level, you see posts like this and yet again you are forced to realise that, no, there is lower still.

No, "Übermensch" is not abbreviation, nor was he blonde and blue eyed and not even invented by Nietzsche, who took this term that had a very long pedigree, and developed it into his own interpretation.

Nietzsche's interpretation of the Übermensch, which bubblegum so falsely tried to invoke, could never be a soldier. For he, according to Nietzsche, would have overcome his kinship with other humans, and attained a full humanity quite apart from mundane and common morality. He would have as much in common with the average person as a the average person has in common with an Orang Utan. Would we humans fight in Orang Utan wars? Obviously not. Neither would an Übermensch debase himself by fighting in a war of normal people. It's unthinkable. He would never die for such an inferior populace, never fight for them. He has almost nothing in common with them. Nor could he take orders from any politicians or General, to whom, again, he would be vastly superior. It would not make sense.

The Übermensch could never be a soldier. As Nietzsche said himself, he who mocked the blonde beast, the closest he could think of was Cesare Borgia, the Italian, with dark eyes and chestnut hair.

For the Übermensch would be a radical individualist, how could it be any other way, there would be so few of him. The highest attainment of humanity would be a lonely person, and he would never die for others. Only for himself.

As for your other laughable allegation that I used AI or Google, I have read every single book in the De Gruyter edition of Nietzsche's collected works, even the Notebooks. From my days at University where I spent most of my time studying Nietzsche in the library, to later, when I bought the De Gruyter hardbacks for 280, 320 Euro at a time and read them again and again. I can quote Nietzsche from memory, I don't need AI or Google for that.

Really, a leftie trying to talk about Nietzsche never ends well. When someone of the left uses the name Nietzsche, it is a bit like when a pig dressed in a lumberjack shirt goes to a church and lectures about proper behaviour, it will never work. Foucault of course excepted. Those on the left should always apologise for using the name Nietzsche, as he clearly would have hated for a leftist to use his name in vain.

Now, as for Hegseth talking about soldiers being fit and not fat, yes, that is in accordance with Nietzsche's teaching, nothing wrong with this.

Just ramp up the UniSol program.

I really need to give you a more fitting image of how Trump is behaving, talking and acting. It's clear that he won't be able to pretend to function as president any longer.

No, Mike. That's not it at all, but we can see why you feel the need to say such a stupid thing. Because what happened in that room and on that stage was so idiotic, inept and laughable it will be the butt of jokes for years to come.

What could be wrong with that . Very sensible.

Recruiting’s up — but not because Trump banned 'fatties and chicks.'

It’s up because besides a slump during COVID:
Pay — biggest raises in 20 years
Programs — pre-boot prep courses to help recruits qualify
Economics — job market cooled, college costs soared, military looked steady
Marketing — new digital campaigns and recruiter reforms built a backlog

All these fixes were under Biden.
Trump didn’t create the surge — he just showed up to cut the ribbon.

That's probably because they've streamlined the enrollment process. Apparently, you can now sign up in every McD outlet, and you even get a complimentary Happy Meal when you do!

Like I've said on multiple occasions.  They may be idiots, but that burger joint ain't getting robbed while they're in there stuffing their faces.

I'd rather sit next to them than some cranked up homeless guy.  Or George Floyd.

You seriously didn't like the speech?

In any event, that wasn't the main reason for the meet up. Anyone with half a brain could have figured the reason all the military top brass was summoned was because Trump has already tasted the same problem countless leaders have faced, from Hitler to Gorbachev, I am of course referring to the problem of military leaders acting in an individualist way. We all remember that General who called up the Chinese to assure them there was no nuclear strike planned, Milley's comments etc.

Clearly Trump already knows there is great danger in his military leaders not obeying his orders, as there is always. So clearly this meet up was designed to kick these leaders in the head a bit and remind them who's boss.

Also a very smart move by Trump. But in the end the issue of military insubordination will not go away and cannot be avoided. It will always happen, as Hitler and Gorbachev found out.

The only front-line 'warrior ethos' Hegseth ever showed was as a platoon leader guarding detainees at Guantánamo. His time in Iraq and Afghanistan was spent in an office on PR and liaison work.

But he did display some 'superhuman' bravery in an alleged rape of a drunk at a GOP convention.

'Deposited'? — maybe you’re confusing deployed with the deposit he likely made at that convention.

This is how things are and being lectured by an alcoholic and heavily tattooed former Minnesota Army National Guardsman at Guantanamo Bay detention centre, followed by a fat CIC is not really motivating!!

And the world is laughing at this pantomime.
