That is a fake quote. If you open the article that is not in it. Just look at the reference numbers, all jumbled up. They're sequential in that, and every other, article.

Liar.

It might be of interest to ALL posters here. Especially for those that are planning to enter the US, having posted some negative comments about the current administration.
The question: Who can read my posts outside of AN? I think this is a legitimate question, concerning ALL ASEAN NOW contributors.

Everyone can read your posts, you don't need to be logged in to read the site.

Dont think that AN won't provide your details to anyone who asks, either.

Whenever you have no counterarguments, you change the subject and use a lot of LOL.

Sad - so sad. But you could try to catch up how to communicate when adults are discussing a topic. A bit education is never wrong.

Why should people that are calling for and or applauding the death of Americans be given visas?

I despise Obama and his bait-and-switch policies, but if someone was claiming he deserves to die or calling for his death, they should not be given a visa.

If people are going to come into the county and protest, they should not be given a visa.

If people are calling for homosexuals to be thrown from rooftops, they should not be given a visa.

If someone is actively anti-capitalist and or a Marxist, they should not be given a visa,

We have enough domestic knuckleheads, we do not need to import more.

Time to move the US to the Middle East. They need the money and it can do some good there.

First amendment…

But thats not important for „real patriots“.

Do you really understand what you are trying to do to your country?!

Guess not.

The First Amendment applies to American citizens, not to citizens of other countries.

In any event, this would in any way infringe on anyone's free speech, they can continue saying whatever they like, they just can't get a visa to come to the US and say it.

The First Amendment is vitally important to a free society, you just do not seem to know what it means,

You guess wrong. What I am trying to do to my country, is to have it not be turned into another leftist sh*thole like your country.

Doesnt apply to visa holders.

Unfortunatley my country isn‘t a „leftist <deleted>hole country“.

And no, it‘s not Germany as Yagoda repeats consequently wrong.

Last but not least, the US isn‘t a free society anymore. You have military in your streets, without reason. No riots.

Absurd comment. There is no connection between the two. The rules on lese majeste are enforced here because of the laws of Thailand and also - I am presuming here - out of respect given our status as guests in this country. There are no agencies monitoring comments posted.

ahh ignorance is bliss

Geez, finally. A 10 second search. Compliment - Yagoda never had the skills to try that.

I suggest you too read the first amendment.

I know the text of the First Amendment very well.  U.S. courts have repeatedly held not all speech is protected speech.  Citizens and non-citizens alike can be held criminally responsible for certain types of speech.  But that's not the real issue with visas.  Denying or revoking a visa is not a criminal punishment but an administrative decision that isn't covered by the First Amendment.

No foreigner has a Constitutional right to a visa in the U.S.  The government can deny or revoke a visa for any reason it chooses.  It's not more complicated than that.

Just in case anyone is wondering, this is the text of the First Amendment:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

The most famous  example  of an exception to First Amendment protection is shouting "Fire" in a crowded theater, but many other exceptions exist:  defamation (libel and slander);  perjury and lying under oath; words used in or integral to the commission of a crime; ch*ld p*rn*graphy;  credible threats and "fighting words;" incitement to imminent violence; and speech which amounts to disorderly conduct.  In modern times,  false advertising; the revelation of confidential financial and medical information; harassment; and some types of personally abusive language have been held not to be protected under the First Amendment.

Yes, even if they find out you have lied on a visa application, that was issued, they can revoke it!

So, we have the <removed> the left now conflating someone that lied on their visa application twenty years ago saying they weren't going to work and did, with someone calling for the eradication of Jews today.

It's now <removed> the left's position, that because someone lied about not working on their visa application twenty years ago and was not deported, it's not fair to deport or refuse a visa to people that are calling for the eradication of the Jews, or that are celebrating the death of Americans.
