Opinion: No Kings Day - Insurrection Anyone?

It must be so disappointing to the MAGAnistas that millions of true American patriots took to the streets, exercising their 1st Amendment rights, in protest of a self-serving, dictator wannabe clown, who is trying desperately to incite violence (via his masked, badgeless, psychopath stormtroopers) so that he can declare martial law.

Not this one. I am glad they are getting involved and expressing themselves.    It shows the true power of a fascist dictator that he can allow such protests to happen with zero repercussions.

In the meantime, we have reality;

Ah yes, because it was the leftists who gutted public funding for universities, turned education into a profit center, and let private lenders run wild. Next, you'll tell me vegans are responsible for factory farming.

REALITY:

Several Republican-led policies and priorities have contributed to rising college costs over the past few decades. Key examples include:

Cuts to Public Funding: Starting in the 1980s under Reagan, the federal government shifted higher education from a public investment model to a personal responsibility model. States, encouraged by federal tax-cut policies, reduced university funding, which forced schools to raise tuition.

Expansion of Federal Loans Over Grants: Reagan and later GOP administrations reduced Pell Grant growth while expanding student loan programs. This shifted the burden from government support to individual debt, allowing colleges to raise prices knowing students could borrow more.

Privatization and Deregulation: Bush-era deregulation of the student loan industry (and strong GOP lobbying support for for-profit colleges) led to predatory lending, higher tuition, and skyrocketing default rates.

Tax Cuts Reducing State Revenues: Repeated GOP-led tax cuts (especially at the state level) reduced education budgets, pushing more costs onto students and families.

In short: Republican fiscal policy treated college like a business, not a public good... so we started getting business-sized bills.

However, both parties have screwed over the general population. Still, the overall downfall of the middle-class start with Reagan and his trickle-down malarky.

OK, over to you to show your evidence that this was all the responsibility of the 'lefties'.  Thank you for your attention to this matter. 🙏

Why should the public be taxed to fund private schools and universities?

Why should the public be taxed to loan people money to go to private schools and universities?

Why should the public be taxed to loan people money to go state schools and universities?

I lived and worked in the US in the '70s, '80s and '90s.

His SAT score of 820 (38th percentile, uncovered by Rep Jasmine Crockett, perhaps tired of Trump calling so many Black women "Low IQ") correlates to an IQ of around 94, below average. Of course that comes as no surprise.

False, no proof, but do show some.

Nice desperation based feckless try for a typical democrat hater and loser.

There is no verified evidence that Donald Trump scored an 820 on the SAT (or that it places him in the 38th percentile), and Rep. Jasmine Crockett did not "uncover" or publicly reveal any such score. This appears to be a baseless rumor or exaggeration stemming from Trump's ongoing public feuds with Crockett and other Democrats, where his academic record—including unverified SAT claims—has been weaponized in political discourse.

Stephen Miller let the cat out of the bag when he stated on live tv that the President holds Plenary Authority.

The only difference between a President holding Plenary Powers and King with absolute authority is the title of the office.

Stephen Miller, another great American!

I am an American. I was born there and lived there most of my life. I worked there in the '70s, '80s and '90s, and know that blaming Regan is idiocy.

I was transferred to Thailand in 2000, and worked for a US company here for another 2o years.

So again:

Why should the public be taxed to fund private schools and universities?

Why should the public be taxed to loan people money to go to private schools and universities?

Typical leftist racist nonsense. Using race as a tool to defend your worthless disposition, where nothing about anything racial was remotely implied by the one you responded to.

Yes, since the protests, Trump will only be in office another three years and two months.

It they have a protest every month for just 38 months, they will see him put out of office!

As much as the new king tries to deny it, protests are a vital part of a democratic state, and of a functioning democracy, so the real question is under Don do we still have a functioning democracy?

Trump and mag attendees very lazy language when describing protesters as traitors and anti-American and America haters, but one can make an argument that Trump is the true traitor, as he has betrayed the majority of American principles to date.

Maybe you are confused again.

The above ignorant statement couldn’t be further from the truth, for one of many, an authoritarian ruling king retains power for life, a US president four-eight years of which is only one of the three branches of government.

That is NOT the Florida panhandle that is a video of Southern Florida (aka Northern Cuba).

The other poster that commented on my post used a video from other lefty cities outside Florida. Nothing like that in the panhandle.

Though he’s the president, ironically the left chooses him as a king. Makes sense though, since the left are inherently weak and dependent, they need dictatorial rule.

There are those of us here who actually have a better understanding of what the ideological disposition is of those on the left, than those who are swamped in the left.

You are swamped in the left, hopelessly so and it’s okay that you are unable to see it, it’s a symptom of the disorder of the left. & you as well are having reading comprehension difficulties.
