Thai girl on Tinder says she’s from prison

Have a mate who has been in Thailand a while, thought I’d seen it all, but this one’s new. He matched with a Thai girl on Tinder, nice chat going, then she drops, “I’m from prison.”

Now I’m not sure if that’s Google Translate doing its thing, or if she actually means she’s in prison, from prison, or maybe works there. He tried to clarify, but her English isn’t great, and his Thai’s not exactly university-level either.

Anyone ever heard that line before? Some slang, or should he be checking the next date’s through the visitor’s glass?

At least TWICE!

In general I can't believe that she can have / use a mobile if she's still in prison.

Maybe she's unlucky married only?

Maybe she means she's in the UK? 😁

If she's working IN prison she can use her phone. Why not?

Of course not as an inmate.

If she thinks she's in prison now, wait until she meets you.

Might try the Microsoft or Bing Translation App.

For Thai to English vice versa I find it better and more accurate with more comprehensible results.

Google is good but when you check your Google Thai translations with Microsoft or Bing Translation App the Google result omits some sentences or uses words not in context.

A few months ago I was in jail about an hour more or less. There was an office girl behind a small desk and she was dealing with bail paperwork. She was surprised and delighted when she saw me (a nice clean cut farang with no tattoos, you should see all others in the big cell 😬, my cell was an AC clean room with a toilet 😯). She looked good with her smile. I tried to get in a conversation with her, but those jail guards 🤨around (plus my gf and car insurance agent who paid the bail 😂. It was the province court house jail, 2 story under ground. Nice place for pick up fancy girls (in trouble), or nice young lawyers 😆.

If she's using a mobile, ask her for a picture.

Mind you, if she says she's in Alcatraz, then it's on Phra Tam Nak 5 in Jomtien.

If her name is Noi from Udon Thani,  run run run.

It could be my ex and she is a little tiny ball of batsh?t crazy.

Chat GPT, unlike google translate is pretty good with translating Thai.
