Why don't you tell Trump and the entire movement about your desire to engage in healing and try to correct the division that's taken place? Let's try to stop the demeaning. It's a great idea and it's something that we should strive to do.

It is quite astonishing to me how MAGA has descended to a level where some of the less intelligent supporters are simply reduced to slogans, name calling as a juvenile tribute to their political Master, and memes rather than intelligent discussions. I'm very critical of Trump, he richly deserves that, but I'm very rarely critical of his supporters, especially in a personal manner.

All Democrats are communist

All Democrats are baby killers

All Democrats support trans rights.

All democrats are woke

Do you know where we get our power from? We drink the blood of infants in basements of pizza parlors.

Thank you for your reply.

We both know there is common ground to meet and discuss upon. There's a way to bypass all this political mire and reason our way to a good outcome.

I think we all know what needs to be done, our common sense tells us one of the first actions being communicate; make known your thoughts to the people in Washington who want to keep their jobs. Keep sending them your ideas until they notice and take you seriously.

I do contact the President, my 2 Senators and my Representative in the House. Your post should be taken to heart by all in this forum.

Another silly potty mouth rant. If a family member wrote this bs I would organize an intervention. Never mind if they wrote such nonsense multiple times daily for years.  Oh well🤣

Very noble of you , but that's not going to work for the extreame elements of this sick rotten left ideology :Those celebrating Charlie Kirk and so on. These people need to be rounded up and sent to re education camps. I'm sure there are countries in Africa that can accommodate them under contracts.

No, the subject of your post is about demeaning by the left. You let the worst culprits and the one who started it, you don't even mention his name, away scot free.

You are correct. My post title said so. Demeaning by the left.

The reason for the post was that I noticed the invective against the right leaning posters in the Political Soapbox forum was intense and I didn't understand why. What knowledge of world history and even local history I have caused my common sense alarms to sound because posts were dehumanizing.

I would like to hear you tell your story about how you arrived at our present political views.

For example, I grew up with a father who only knew hard work on farms and heavy industry in West Virginia. Then he only knew hard work as a "Mule Skinner" in the 36th Infantry Division for 4 years of WW2 in Europe. Then he knew only hard work in the steel industry until he put himself through technical college and became a metalurgist. He was a Democrat until the party started their swing towards more liberal philosophy. His common sense passed on to me regarding acting your wage, being honest, take care of family and go fishing when opportunity allowed. He was very racist against blacks. Of course growing up in this environment,  I adopted his racist views. He had great respect for religion and patriotism. As I grew up I noticed his racism, my racism clashed with the teachings of Jesus Christ (religion) and patriotism (Declaration,  Bill of Rights and Constitution). Hapily my life path crossed with folks who were great teachers of American history, European history and religion. Even my love of the English language was started as a young boy by watching Firing Line with William F. Buckley who had a phenomenal command over all aspects of the language. High school was a disaster. Pot. Alcohol. Bad time. My financial views were born from experience.  Don't get into debt. Racism was conquered with my first wife who was Ugandan from the Buganda tribe. She passed away three years in our marriage. She had three kids who were being educated in the U.S. and I saw them being taught reverse racism by black Americans. Ugh. This is when my views on education versus indoctrination were formed. I believe in the power of "We the people" to take action in controlling our government and making it ensure our basic rights are kept intact. I really want federal powers to be those constrained by the Constitution. States take over all the rest. I try to be a stickler about America being a democratic constitutional republic. I really don't want a pure democracy... it just takes a vote of 51% to silence me... permanently if voted on.

Anyway, this short story explains how I arrived at the bedrock of my politics. I need to talk with folks who disagree with me. I've modified my views agreeing with left arguments on this forum.

Yeah, it was a long post. Sorry about that.

You're partisan, no worries. But don't pretend to be impartial as you do. That makes your posts dishonest.

Partisan as defined is "Adherent to a party or faction; especially, having the character of blind, passionate, or unreasonable adherence to a party"

I am not partisan. I showed that I change my views when presented with evidence. Have you not glossed over my posts? Seems you overlooked that.

Impartial as defined is "Not partial; not favoring one more than another"

I never pretend to be impartial. I'm  not impartial. I absolutely prefer sound and reasonable laws and political viewpoints from whoever has them.

Agreed.  No worries.

Without that, you're just hot air. Help Yourself

Theres nothing historic about that wing, if you bothered to read about it. That would be incorrect

He also didn't say the Forman had anything to do with it. He asked if you were the Forman on the job. Very different things. No I am not, but permits are not the foremans job anyway.

If Trump gets his way, that may well happen, dictators do that kinda thing.......:coffee1:

Perhaps Congress should tweak a law to make it impossible for the President to pardon him/herself at the end of his/her term and only pardon others.

Watch the brown explode.

Maybe George Soros is funding it.  Just like he is funding all of the No Kings  babies having their temper tantrums 10 months after losing the election

I guess you don't know there are a few web sites that keep track of his lies.    Last I read  the distinguished liar has told over 30,000 lies during his presidency,
