No, no, no, no, no....don't you see what is happening here? There are only 2 possibilities:

1) They had a fight. So she decided to leave the apt

2) She was thinking it's the wrong thing to be there taking his money

But then she kept saying "it's too much money" because it would not have been just the hotel and flight to CM, she would have had to fliy back to Phuket to vote as she registered there.
