For me, about 1995, when we had 're-education' at work, and informed, we can't joke and say certain words, whether to someone, or even if not to them, and they overheard you talking 'unacceptable' language. There goes the 1st Amendment, and that did it for me. I was all of 40 yrs old, and USA's best asset, 'freedom of expression' just disappeared. Then when you strive to improve you finances, knock on the 1% ers, and the govt thinks they deserve about 40+% with no investment or taking the risk, kind enforces the idea, I'm no longer producing for me, but for the non producers. Time to think about retiring outside of the USA, which took all of 5 years to finalize.

After 8 or 9 months in the west, dealing with all the usual western arrogance, climate, and egos same...one get's fed up and want's to run back to Thailand, We call this being.....human.

Phuket girl told me this morning that she can't come here, as she has a boyfriend. Then after the date, she told me she doesn't want to choose her bf and wants to come to CM. But she's obviously a terrible choice.BKK girl was also in touch but minimal. The date was a disater though.

I told her "I did not, but there's a place I'd really like you to see and I booked another venue close by. So let's just go there". She agreed, but it did get me wondering. It started well enough, she looked beautiful, very elegant in an understated way. The hotel I went had a lovely atmosphre. I offered her my hand, she took it and we walked hand in hand through this gorgeous hotel outdoor area to one of the best restaurants in town. The table was good. Conversation was good. But then I made a mistake. Our chairs were opposite each other. The waitress then brought a third chair which was adjacent to her, at a right angle. So I asked the waitress if I could move there, as it was closer to her, I could get more tactile. But that changed the atmosphere. It made me look too eager and like pursuing her. In the last date I also felt I didn't joke enough, and make it fun enough. So I started joking with her, but I overdid. I even joked we should get married which was a really dumb move. Then I had to rush to go to this bar, as they'd advised they'll cancel the table if I'm 10 minutes late. We made it. But the bar was terrible. Brightly lit, lots of people, bad music. The cocktails she ordered were really bad, bitter and she didn't want to finish them. When we left they had stolen her umbrella, and she wasn't happy naturally. The bar just told her grab any you like, but the one she took was half broken. I offered to buy her a new umbrella. She didn't want to come to my place for tea, and after I drove her home there was no hug, no kiss. I think I can recover it still, but it's challenging times now. I'm really dispapointed badly.

It looked like I was forcing the situation, trying too hard. Things were going well. I should have just let things develop. But then the bar fiasco was waiting to happen. I will recover this though. This girl is my dream girl.
