Have you asked them to email it instead? if it's the same form every year maybe take copies and send every year, don't wait for snailmail

  • As has been mentioned other than going to the local office where the mail should be dispatched from and asking them politely not a lot. I have done this 2 x this year and lo and behold soon afterwards

Thai Criminal Code — Section 163

Makes it an offence for a postal, telegraph, or telephone official to detain, send astray, destroy, or deliver to the wrong person any item sent by post....

I Returned a Faulty Appliance via " Flash Express " THEY Could'nt find the company it was supposed to be returned to,after 3 UNSUCCESSFUL Attempts they delivered it to a DIFFERENT Company with a Similar name,That Company phoned me nearly 2 Weeks Ago & said it was nothing to do with them & They would return it to me...They have NOT done as promised,So Where do I Stand ?? SCAM or NOT ??

Flash express is not a postal official. You have to take it up with the consumer protection board.

May of this year I got two late notices of "still alive forms" from the Social Security office in the US. One was from September of 2024, the other from August 2024. They were taped together. I get maybe one

letter a year to my mailbox in the past 8 years. No Christmas or birthday cards, though I know they are being sent. This was the first form from the SSA I have gotten, though I have been receiving SS for 5 years. Every year the stop payments as they never get the forms.

Last year I sent multiple forms to the US and the PI. They never arrived. I got cancelled again. Takes 3 or 4 months to get it fixed. The post office here leaves so much  to be desired. How do companies operate a business?

Maybe use a reliable expedited service such as DHL or fedex?

Do the various senders have an option that you can select email to receive the forms?

One gov't agency I have dealings with in Australia will send the proof of life form by email if requested and they will accept the endorsed certificate returned by email and they promptly send a confirmation receipt mentioning that the emailed certificate has been accepted.

If they did I don't think we would be having all these issues regularly reported on here.

Certainly many UK pension providers seem averse to this although there are signs it is changing.

My Two private Pension companies send me "Are u still alive " forms Annually to be witnessed,  they ask that the form is completed and returned to them, if not they will stop the Pension..

Last year I received the form Four Months after they had posted it in the U.K., My Pension was stopped until I filled in, & got the form witnessed.

I complained at the online Postal Complaints Dept  and received an apology.

Yesterday  i received a form from the Second Pension company posted 11 June   taken 5 Months to  arrive at my home,I have E mailed  the Pension company hoping they will not stop  my payments, but what  can be done about this    crappy Postal service

Photocopy the forms and automatically end each year!

TIT!!!

I have the same problem with Form SSA-7162 from the United States Social Security Administration (to verify continued eligibility for Social Security benefits if you live outside the United States). I can do my Federal Income Tax online, but not this form. I return the completed form by registered mail every year, which is kind of pricey. When I call the Social Security office to ask if they've received the form, they tell me they have no way of finding out. What a lousy system!

In my experience nothing can be done, but maybe talking to them nicely as others suggested will help. The tracking system of an online order of mine showed it was at the post office, I went there six times to pick it up and was given excuses every time, they said I didn't pay my P.O. Box rent, so I brought receipts in showing otherwise, I talked to the supervisor, and he said they had refused to accept my package because the courier refused to pay them to accept it. But the company I ordered from insisted it was there. Finally it was returned overseas and the company refused to refund my money. It was a horrible experience.

My UK Bank Card took two months to arrive

When my VISA credit card expired at the beginning of this year, my bank sent the replacement card to Tajikistan! I only found out because I called them to find out what was the delay in my receiving the replacement card. Then, they charged me $US20 for expedited delivery of a new card!

You have to fill out a complaint in the website. They don’t handle complaints via telephone.
