Smoking Cannabis Is Probably Bad

Featured Replies

I mentioned it in other cannabis threads, but this channel "Institute of Human Anatomy" is quite good and seems like reliable information.

So for cannabis users, maybe smoking is not the best way to consume?

What’s your obsession over other people’s marijuana use? You don’t smoke, or even consume THC edibles, yet you’ve started two recent topics banging on about how weed is poison and how smoking ruins your health. Nobody asked you for health advice, and this forum isn’t about the dangers of smoking, it’s about sharing information on marijuana use in Thailand. Specifically: "Discuss all things related to Cannabis - from legislation to medicinal marijuana in Thailand."

It’s creepy to be preaching about something you don’t even do. Reminds me of all those young Mormon freaks that used to lineup in front of the entrance to Nana Plaza at midnight, reading out the Bible and loudly shouting sermons at the people going in and out as if they were tragic sinners.

Maybe this subject secretly excites you. Who knows. Not surprising that nobody’s replied to this topic though, it’s obvious you’re just baiting and trolling for more attention. You probably have some buried fascination with cannabis, but you’re too compulsive to admit it, so instead you lurk around lecturing others.

Unlike harrisfan, who will never admit that some of his topics are creepy, I do admit my topics as a non cannabis user are creepy.

You are right.

Some people post because they have something to say. Others post because they have to say something. I'll let you figure out which category the OP is in.

I still see some people smoking cannabis out there.

Come up here to Nakhon Nowhere, between 7/8pm every night, you can set your watch on it, I'll roll you a spliff, if you want to try it,

yeah, that's what people do in Nakhon Nowhere because there's nothing else to do.

Krist [sp] I grow weary of people trying to invoke a nanny state. EVERYTHING is bad for you if you consume too much. Water, the most inocuous and necessary substance we know, will drown you.

Moderation.  Heavy sigh . . .

Yes, the OP seems overly fixated on exercising their will over others.

I don't get it, at all. But I think your conclusion is viable.

The OP is unable to control themselves, so they flail around starting "Cannabis is bad" threads, thinking they can influence others.

Zero self-awareness.

Never in the history of mankind has so much money been spent trying to find something wrong with one plant... Nothing has been found.
Hypocritical Christians out there should read Genesis 1:29
Personally I used weed to maintain my appetite while I went through chemotherapy.

You seem bothered.

Though personally can give a hoot about what folks do in the privacy of their own domicile, though public intoxication of any sort is the ultimate dysfunctional social stupidity.

I drink occasionally but Im never bothered by those who claim any alcohol is bad for you!

Abuse will always be bad no matter what you do, even carrots. Get over it, and just accept people are different, and have different opinion’s.

I cant stand public smoking being it tobacco or ganja, but happy to see a lot less when back in Hua Hin this time.

Good idea.

I might just yank the joint out of their mouth and throw it on the floor and squash it.

What do you suspect will happen after that?

You will be assaulted back or end up at the RTP station, better to take some edibles and relax.

I knew it, not smoking Ganga makes you suicidal, you need to be careful, the smoker of the joint might throw you down and squash you.

Though in all seriousness, don't do it. What is the temperature of the burning material? Shall I tell you?

The temperature of a burning joint can range from around

600∘𝐶 to 900∘𝐶

Why would you choose to suck meltingly hot tar into your mouth, throat and lungs? If you eat food that is too hot, a mere 90∘𝐶  you can lose layers of cells until your mouth feels raw inside. So what do you think burning hot tars are doing? Very occasionally and your body may repair itself. But if regularly, you can imagine what is happening.

For friends who insisted on smoking, I devised a cooling and filtration system. Not really rocket science.

A cool, relatively clean smoke is going to be a lot less harmful. That means, no joints. As the distance from the tip to your mouth is not much.

Christmas is coming up, so I need to show goodwill to you raggedy bunch. Sort yourselves out. Find a better way.

No need to invent anything. Dry herb vaporizers. Been around for ages. No combustion. Temperature ranges from 180∘𝐶 - 240∘𝐶, depending on what you set it too. Can also run the vapor through a water bong too if you want it even cooler. Presto.

A few problem with your post.

Why not try to drink water boiling at 100∘𝐶 or inhaling steam at 180∘𝐶?

Did you not read the word "joints"? Were dry herb vaporizers around thirty years ago? Teenagers.

Not having a gag reflex it's very satisfying

But, all jokes aside, the ensuing lesions aren't likely to be doing you much good. The suggestion is to try to minimise any harm whilst retaining beneficent effect.

Better to enjoy growing old in relatively good condition.

People smoking tobacco 40 a day for 20 years often get cancer.

1 joint a day should take 800 years to get cancer.

I'm not that concerned ...........

well cannabis has been around  for 3000+ years, but the prohibition crowd only got the bug up their asses in the early part of the last century, I don't think our "intelligence" is the cause of any insanity, more likely it is our lack of intelligence
