Pattaya has inaugurated a new city management system featuring a CCR centre and dedicated hotline. This initiative aims to bolster digital infrastructure and safety measures in anticipation of a significant influx of tourists and athletes for upcoming year-end events. The move is expected to support effective crowd management and enhance the city's ability to host major gatherings.

Between January and September 2025, over 20 million tourists visited Chonburi–Pattaya, according to Mayor Poramase Ngampichet. The city is preparing for an even larger visitor surge during the final months of the year, driven by numerous large-scale events. These events, including last year's countdown which generated over 5 billion baht in revenue, are crucial for sustaining economic growth through festival and event tourism.

Mayor Ngampichet emphasized Pattaya's commitment to urban development focused on robust public health, modern infrastructure, and advanced digital systems. The enhancements are intended to instill confidence in athletes and tourists regarding safety and effective event management. As Pattaya positions itself as a leader in festival tourism, these improvements are seen as essential for meeting international standards.

Looking forward, Pattaya is expected to continue building on its digital and safety infrastructure to accommodate future tourism demands. The city's strategic focus remains on ensuring successful, large-scale events while maintaining stringent safety protocols. This development aligns with Pattaya's broader goals of economic growth and global tourism competitiveness, reported The Nation.

Key Takeaways

  • Pattaya's new CCR centre aims to enhance tourism infrastructure and safety.
  • Over 20 million tourists visited from January to September 2025.

Proud Mary would be a great name for a bar.

Creedence Clearwater Revival.

I do like the music. Hopefully not too loud or all night long.

Well in my eyes that should be a CCRC. It makes no sense as CCR.

Is the hotline the high tech bit?

Yeah sure...people will comme from Brasil just for the CCR or whatever it's called...yes, yes..for sure.

Thailand needs to wake up and rather implement policies to make life more simple for the good western spenders. These would include mainly the retirees who own property here. They should get a long stay visa with more simple procedures.

The plans for the centre show that there's a bathroom on the right.

Well, there's good news and bad news.  The Good News:  there will be a CCR ap!  The Bad News, it was written by the same guys that spent years trying to get the 90 days online report to work consistently.  😉
