Parking!

Featured Replies

The guy who lives across me loves to park opposite my gate making it difficult for me to get in and out. He has been politely informed that it makes it difficult for me to exit and enter but he just laughed at the idea. So, options?

Get a smaller vehicle 😋

Park your vehicle in the spot he likes to park.

Move.

As a kid we had someone do the same..........dad knifed all four tyres and called the police to tow it away.

New family moved in across from mebout 6 months ago... seems they have 20 children all with cars.

Made it near impossible for me to get in and out, repeatedly asked them not to park vehicle withing a certain area opposite my gate.

seems the issue did not gel with them even with me reminding them politely numerous times.

A few mornings (I leave to go to work at 5am) of me sitting there with my horns blaring (set of triple air horns behind each headlight.. real <deleted> loud) they finally understood the issue and now no longer park within the zone I need to get in and out.

Looks like more than enough room to me.

Correct. Getting in is more difficult.

You may also notice from the picture that the neighbour has also placed large plant pots outside his property taking up about 2ft of the public road.

gotta remeber many that post here are morons that live in a studioroom and dont own cars, that be why they claim no issue.

I know you pain and Ive only my daily driver at home (rest are in my workshop elsewhere) but yeah... nice to pull in/out without a <deleted> cockblocking the entrance.

A friend of mine's place is like that. I had a big old car and had to reverse out with no reversing camera, so I came close to hitting the new Audi parked opposite a few times. One day I saw the driver and asked her if she could park a few meters either side because I didn't want to hit her nice new car. There was always plenty of room for her to park, but I got the death stare. A few months ago a friend of mine reversed out of there in her huge SUV. Hit the Audi hard and caused a few thousand dollars' worth of damage. The Audi doesn't park there anymore...

Interesting story about that. I had some builders come to do some work and they parked opposite his gate. He asked to to move as was difficult for him to get in or out.

Probably the best solution. If he asks you to move your vehicle then…

The gates are too narrow.

I had the builder widen entrance and bought a bigger gate.
