Anybody here have or had or is using the Nvidia Shield Pro 2019, if so, does anyone has problems with it, mine been working fine for over 1 and half year and all of a sudden it stopped working and keeps rebooting in a non stop loop, I managed to do factory reset (3 times  already) after the reset it works for 1 hour or so and starts the same behavior of rebooting, software version 9.2.1 and after another factory reset it let me get into the home screen where I received a message to update to 9.2.2 it started great but and the end it hanged there and never completed the update, any advise would be welcome, oh yes I did contacted their tech support and was instructed to do another factory reset, I know the guys just follow the script given to them by the techs

Power supply   and bad caps in the device itself  would be my guess.

thanks, I kind of agree with you as it reboots and after sometime it disconnects, the TV keeps showing a disconnected device and asking to reconnect. I did change the power supply plug in as somebody told me there was a problem with the original one and they give me anew reference which I used to buy from a USA supplier, unfortunately the problem persisted, the Nvidia guy said it could be a problem inside the box, hardware, modem, etc. but he didn't offered a solution. The box worked fine for 1.5 years and all of a sudden it started to loop on the booting and not booting at all, I can't find anybody here in the south to repair boxes and it hurts to throw it away costed me more than 200 bucks

IF you buy/have a multimeter you can test the power supply to see if it is outputting the stated voltage.. I recently noticed my Satellite box was  turning on and off  checking the  Power supply  showed it was out putting 5 volts instead of 12 v   a different supply restored full working order

 

I had another thought that maybe it could be an IP address conflict

with some other device in your home or maybe  a neighbours home

a long shot but....worth looking at.

thanks for feed back, I tested 3 different power supply none work with that box however they all work with the other box also a Nvidia, same model same year (2019). I did checked the IP possible conflict but didn't find anything that was conflicting and since the other box is on the same network and working fine I think it has to be with power conflict/struggle inside the device, I am taking it to the local TV/computer repair guy maybe he can detect something, thanks again
