Non o retirement with a reentry permit

Featured Replies

Just wondering have non o retirement ( year extension of stay) with a reentry permit, when I re enter  Thailand will they ask for  insurance and the financial req at airport imigration

Non O A ?

I have a Non O extension based on retirement, and have never been asked, and I fly in and out 3-4 times a year.

But if you are on Non O A, insurance is one of the requirements, income you already proved to obtain visa, so should not be necessary.

Insurance only required for extensions from a Non O-A.

Why did you mention insurance.

Ok.

So all you need is your reentry permit. No insurance required.

Helps if you point out to airline at departure and immigration upon arriving Thailand the reentry permit.

Always check that the io has stamped you in till expiry of the permit stamp..

Expiry of permit stamp thought would get only 90 stamp then do 90 report after that

That is simply babbling. What are you asking or saying?

You will be asked nothing at the airport just easily admitted. Your 90 day report will have to be done in person, as you left the country. 90 days from the day you enter Thailand,  You will need to buy a new re-entry permit if you plan to leave again "unless you have a multi entry permit.

No dr jack stated check ya stamp is to the date of expiry of permit  I presume at re entry. which would be longer than 90 days

When entering with a reentry permit

.... Sometimes (Not Often) the io overlooks the permit stamp and stamps someone in visa exempt.

So permission of stay 60days.

Everyone should be aware of the date of expiry the stamp should be.

Happens often enough so mentioned here

Yes, to check just in case the IO missed the re-entry permit.

Your re-entry permit and extension have the same end date.  That is what you will be stapmed in until.

Your next 90 day report will be due on arrival date + 89 days.

Or just use Google....

You could use Google, however the website I quoted gives you From / To dates for:

In person,

Online Report, and,

By mail (up to),

so states your various options and is therefore quite helpful.

Yes, it's handy.  But it calculates arrival date + 90 so all the dates are out by 1, not really significant I suppose.
