In this thread, I’m gonna start to tell all the crazy lies that my girlfriend has told me over the years. I think it’s better than me just writing out a thread.  Because I’ve got so many, I can just get them off my chest.

Some people will enjoy and I’m sure it’ll be cathartic for me

We’ve heard about them all and know about them all, anyone who hasn’t has yet completed their journey around their first block.

Anyway i’m aware of the negativity on Thai Visa. I’ve been posting here for some years, but I know they’ll be people all enjoy the posts that I’m gonna post. I won’t be doing it today. I’m just revving up to it.

I wonder if it was real life you would dare to say to me “don’t bother. We’ve heard it all before”  ?

I suggest you just skip this thread. Get back to the Pattaya threads

Everybody lies, and Thai is exceptional to lie, and tell each other white comfort lies, or even catched red handed.

Wife knows I got 2 rules, 'don't lie or steal', unless you want the relationship to end ... immediately :coffee1:

That's why the 1st & 3rd marriage, and 2 live in relationships ended.  First & last lie ... bye bye.

Falls under -0- tolerance policy  :cheesy:

Why do you think Thais are exceptional at lying compared to other nationalities?

That’s a feeling and maybe awareness when a thai take you for a ride, or just out of ignorance or politeness lies. Tourist industry is full of different traps where you are lied to quite often out of many reasons.

But a thai do have problems to admit they are lying even taken red handed, and it could be out of different reasons as well, but saving face is one of them.

Also Thais is not confrontational when other thai lies, they are polite, and even they know they are lied, to many, or most do not confront each other because of their cultural custom.

I am wrong you think?

Alll cultures have their way of lying, so, maybe wrong to say Thais is more exceptional than other cultures, but sometimes more obvious, at least to me

All people should be as lucky as me.  4 short relationships (no kids involved), instead of one or two long ones, stuck for years on end.

I've had a blessed life.  Those 4, maybe 3 yrs of WTF, plus current 20 yrs of BLISS ... that leaves about 25+ years of Sex Drugs & RR.

The lies we all tell ourselves are worse than the ones told to us.

When I see an old farang walking with a young Thai woman,

I often think of the poem "A Marriage" by Robert Creeley.

Those three paragraphs are deadly!  Retainer?!?

A Marriage

The first retainer
he gave to her
was a golden
wedding ring.

The second—late at night
he woke up,
leaned over on an elbow,
and kissed her.

The third and the last—
he died with
and gave up loving
and lived with her.

That’s the spirit, looking back at your life and all its ups and downs, every top and every bottom of the roller coaster you have don, can say to yourself, I had a blessed life.

Is there any hope or message in there ? Or just a future disaster?

Hope is gone for so many. All that's left for them is to exist rather than live.

I Just put in my reply to chatgpg and this is the poem it wrote for me

The seeds you plant, the words you say,
Are shadows cast, they’ll find their way.
In silence or in loud refrain,
Each thought you sow, you will obtain.

With hands that build or tear apart,
You shape your world, you shape your heart.
A garden grows with care and time,
So do your deeds, your choice, your rhyme.

The winds will shift, the roots will twist,
What’s buried deep will still persist.
So choose with care, with gentle grace,
The life you plant, the path you trace.

For in the end, as seasons show,
The harvest comes—what you’ve let grow.
