Viral Video Shows Thai Men Risking Lives on Wires During Severe Hat Yai Flood

In the midst of severe flooding in Hat Yai district of Songkhla province, a harrowing video surfaced showing men walking across exposed communication wires above waist‑high floodwaters in a desperate attempt to reach higher ground. Residents stranded in second‑floor homes shared the clip online, noting the only available route was a network of cables above the water. The flood, caused by record rainfall and rapid river overflow, has submerged streets, disrupted power and communications, and forced evacuations. The image of people balancing atop wires highlights both the severity of the flood and the lack of safe infrastructure when disaster strikes. Authorities are scrambling to assist stranded residents, restore electric power, and strengthen evacuation protocols. Local emergency teams also warn of the danger of electrocution or collapse of makeshift crossing points — even “heroic” measures in a flood can become fatal. The incident serves as a grim reminder of the human risk when infrastructure fails amid climate events.

I saw that and thought they are too big to be communication cables, more like Power Cable..:coffee1:

They are communication  cables  that they are walking on and its probable that the power is cut as the guy in red shirt is holding onto one..but I certainly would not do what they are doing  just to avoid getting wet...they should go buy some lottery tickets after that stunt.
