Tempered glass countertop

Featured Replies

Hi guys. Need help. Broke my table countertop glass. Need to order new one, custom made. I leave in Pattaya near Naklua. Please share if you now good place to order. Thanks in advance.

There's a glass shop on Naklua Road. They also sell PVC windows and things like 'angled steel'. Not sure about the name and the location but it's somewhere opposite S.S. Sausage Belucky.

Have fun....

Yes, you can get everything made to measure there!

I had a tempered glass plate made, measuring 110 x 120 cm and 5 mm thick.

It sits on my carpet to protect it because I move an office chair with casters on it!

The acrylic mats yellow and get dirty, but the glass doesn't!

It can hold up to 120 kg!

However, it has to be ordered; delivery takes about a week.

wow didnt except 5mm glass would hold that. good idea haven't though before that could put glass under chair that would take the weight. What type of carpet you have under it, soft and thick or firm and thin?

Takes 120 Kgs. Big farang often weigh 100 to 110 KG, chair another 10 - 12 Kgs.

Plus more weight generated when the farang sits down, especially if plus thebody hits the chair a bit hard.

As suggested the type of carpet can also play a part in the weight calculations.

Just wondering if 5mm is enough.

Sorry, I accidentally wrote it in German... ;-(

Here it is in English.
It's the store here on Naklua Road.
I got the measurements wrong; it's a 6 mm tail! 120 x 105 cm.
My Place...
The price was about 1500 THB including delivery!
But I don't live far away! It can carry about 400 kg.
There is a short-pile carpet under my glass top!
Here is an example from the market leader. But it is extremely expensive and not available in Thailand. That's why I had the idea.😉
The glass mats are also 6 mm thick! They can carry up to 500 kg!
