Renewal of Retirement visa

Featured Replies

Most offices allow extension applications 30 days before the expiration date.

Some offices allow 45 days (Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai, and a few more).

If my visa runs out 2.7.26, then what's the earliest date it can be renewed?

Using an agent allows me around 3 months prior.

It'll be a few thousand baht for their service but well worth it

You expire 2nd of July, so early April achievable

That means you, or anyone else who does this, will now be locked into using an agent next year as well.  The moment the immigration office sees an "impossible" stamp, they will know it was obtained by an agent and will send you away and tell you to use an agent again.

Terrible advice.

Utter nonsense. The op just needs to do the extension themself 30-45 days prior depending on which office. 1900THB fee.

Maybe we should establish why the OP asked this question before jumping to conclusions. Sometimes people want or need to apply early (earlier than usually permitted) due to travel plans or an upcoming hospitalization.

Yes, and I have noticed this on many posts, and when one asks a question on any subject those who should know better and give pelters

And I've noticed many wasting time and effort providing advice and information that the OP never revisits to read.

In which case the best thing to do is to talk to an Immigration Officer at your office.
