You're obviously going to the wrong places. Thai food, like Asian food in general, is characterized by its low salt content compared to Western cuisine. Regular table salt is rarely used directly in Thai cooking, as fish sauce (nam pla) (made from fermented anchovies), soy sauce, and oyster sauce are the main sources of saltiness and umami. By the way, KFC, McDonald's, and Sizzler are not typical Thai restaurants😉😉😉

I don't have blood pressure problems, nor do I like fish sauce. But if you seriously want to claim that this sauce adds too much salt to an entire meal, then you've clearly never experienced Thai cuisine!
