I got 4 thumbs down on a post in a thread where someone asked how to disable Windows updates, and I posted a screenshot where to switch it off. I didn't see that one but you can be damned sure that if I had seen it, I would have given it the thumbs down. And not just because I'm paid by Microsoft (as well as .the International Communist/Antifa party) to keep the sheeple connected.

That's his job. He makes his comments about 51st state because it gets Canadians attention and has forced Canada to stop talking and take action. If it wasn't for Trump Canada would not have; - Invested in border security and taken action on its drug and auto theft crisis. - Started to invest in an ability to defend its sovereignty. Canada still cannot patrol and enforce its territorial borders because it does not have a naval fleet, or air capability that can do that. Because of Trump, Canada's military personnel finally have a pay raise and improved benefits. - Started to reduce interprovincial trade barriers. It is often just as hard to trade across internal jurisdictions in Canada as it is to do foreign business. - Started to diversify the economy and to consider self sustainability. Trump for all of his bluster, has basically told the fat 27 year old slob sleeping on his parents sofa in the basement to get a job and to grow up. And to encourage that he's doing his best to separate the Canadian economy from the US economy. If you exempt Canadian oil from the economic equation, Canada actually bought more from the US than it sold to the US. And as for that oil, Trump was gung-ho for a second keystone pipeline.

They've had a few referendums already, but they really know their non-revenue generating province can't afford to stop suckling on the teats of the proverbial suckling pig of Alberta and BC . I mean, they're French for God's sake - 19th Century French language, and a native Parisian hearing them thinks they're German (or possibly Spanish with an Italian accent), but nevertheless, French in temperament, and communists to the core. Alberta and the cojoined provinces however are well on the way to sticking it up the nose of Commissar Carney. Whether they become the 51st US state or an independent country remains to be seen, but they've had enough of Ottawa asking them to bring their own vaseline to the party, and then taxing them on their own vaseline and double charging for the alcoholic beverages. The provincial referendums are being organised and circa 50% of the over-taxed citizens are on board already. Legislation exists for them all to have a federally binding referendum on separation from the confederacy as soon as 2026. The world laughed when Trump mentioned the possibility - it ain't quite so funny now. I have great fun teasing a Canuck friend that he'll soon be an Amurcan, He's from BC and doesn't have a clue what's happening in his own country because the CBC aren't telling him about it. The citizens of Quebec are "communists to the core"? It's blazingly evident that after you finish telling your Canuck friend about what's really going on in Canada, he still won't have a clue.

The vast majority of Canadians do not wish to join with the USA. A Republican government won't do it for the simple reason that the majority of the population would vote Democrat, and the Representatives and Senators would be Democrat. Native people have guaranteed treaty rights in Canada that the US could not quash.

Other possibilities is these are clues as to what is coming eventually, but it may take another 10 years. It may not happen overnight. But this news story may keep coming up over and over until US and Canada do merge. Maybe Canada could counter with other measures by allying itself more with the EU. I wouldn't dimiss it entirely, but I will stop posting this type of stuff because it may be "clickbait" in the sense that nothing will change for the foreseeable future.
