That should be the end of it. The referendum was in 2016. People are now regretting their choice and decisions need to be made to correct the Brexit disaster. Unfortunately, the current government are far too cautious.

Unfortunately, the current government are far too cautious. (I think that you saw the sarcasm in my previous post, but in case others didn't, that's what it was). Yes and No. I agree entirely that Brexit has been a disaster. However, according to the latest poll (June 25), a sizeable minority (31%) cannot - or will not - accept the evidence and cling to the belief that leaving the EU was the right thing to do. A further 13% are undecided. Given these numbers, I can understand from a political perspective why the current government has, to date, been unwilling to pursue deeper ties with the EU. Perhaps that is now changing? I hope so.
