Indian Brothers Held in Phuket Linked to Deadly Nightclub Blaze in Goa

Thai police apprehended two Indian siblings in Phuket who had fled India after a nightclub fire in Goa killed 25 people earlier this month. Most victims were staff at the Birch by Romeo Lane venue, which authorities now believe was set ablaze by fireworks rather than a gas explosion. Local Indian police charged several others in connection with the blaze and sought the brothers, who had left their Delhi home before officers arrived. Once arrested in Thailand, officials confirmed the pair will be extradited back to India for prosecution. Their lawyer has claimed the tragedy was accidental and denied any malicious intent.
