Most of the lefties on this thread are very angry at the suggestion she committed fraud. How can such cognitive dissonance happen?

I am not angry -- This immigration stuff has been under a microscope for 6+ years now and I guess Homan thinks he can find  something that hasn't been.

And that may not be ever conclusively proven as records in Somalia have been destroyed.

But he says there's fraud there -- now he just has to go find it.

Other than the allegations being proven true, with supporting evidence. If (and you are not😅) your claim is true and Omar did not marry her brother she will be suing the freebeacon for 100s of millions of $$. Is she doing that?

"Other than the allegations being proven true"

Proven in the Court of SunnyinBangrak

in which he is both judge and jury and where circumstantial evidence and allegations are dispositive.

We may all rise if we can keep from doubling over with laughter.

You need to read it again then, as that is not what was written.

"For naturalized citizens like Omar, proven willful misrepresentation during or AFTER naturalization can lead to denaturalization under the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA § 340(a)), requiring "clear, unequivocal, and convincing evidence" in federal court of deliberate concealment of material facts.

DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin emphasized on December 11, 2025: "DHS takes any and all marriage fraud allegations very seriously... Do not engage in marriage fraud or you will face the consequences of American justice, including severe fines, arrest, jail time, and deportation."

So if Ilhan or her father had irregularites on their asylum application or behaved badly after that they can be de-naturalized. They will be going over Ilhans father application with a microscope.

Which was not the post i quoted and reacted to.

You need to read it again.

While Rep. Ilhan Omar has publicly stated that various claims against her are "categorically false" and her spokesmen have dismissed them as "completely fabricated," she generally has not pursued defamation lawsuits against the media outlets reporting these allegations.

The primary reasons she likely hasn't sued are rooted in US defamation law and political strategy:

"Actual Malice" Standard for Public Figures: In the United States, a public figure like a member of Congress must meet a very high legal bar to win a defamation lawsuit. They not only have to prove the reported information was false but also that the news organization acted with "actual malice"—meaning the publisher knew the information was false or acted with reckless disregard for the truth. Proving actual malice is difficult and often results in such lawsuits being dismissed.

Media Protections: US law generally provides strong protections for the press to report on public officials and matters of public concern, even if the reporting is critical or relies on unproven claims, as long as it doesn't meet the high "actual malice" standard.

You forgot the most likely reason.  She may be guilty as sin and exposing that would derail her Senate bid and limit her future "mysterious wealth accumulation".

It's not as if marriage fraud is rare.  According to VisaNation.com, USCIS data indicates that 86% of marriage applications are approved, meaning that they suspect fraud on 14%.  That's one in 7.  Most of which just end in a denial, but thousands of cases each year are prosecuted.

https://www.immi-usa.com/

In 2019, the Department of Homeland Security reported that it had initiated more than 5,500 investigations into suspected marriage fraud cases. Of those cases, nearly 2,000 resulted in criminal arrests, and more than 1,600 individuals were convicted of marriage fraud-related crimes.

They won't get to do much investigating.  At the present time, they're very busy pardoning drug lords, fraudsters of a grand scale and probably other rich and generous felons.

As noted above Tom Homan has already said his  top notch investigator says there is fraud so it's only a matter of time.

It's outlined pretty clearly in the David Steinberg report of 2019 that I linked above.  With photos, gub'ment documents and recovered social media that was archived before they were able to delete the accounts and posts.

First, her family name isn't Omar.  That's a name that the Omar family allowed her family members to use to get into the USA and the UK.  That's fraud, but in fairness, she was only 12 at the time.  So that's on her father and the Omars.  Second, there's an affidavit that she signed under oath with about 8-9 lies on it.  Third, Steinberg pretty much ties a ribbon on evidence that the guy she was married to is her brother.

That article was written before her grift where she paid someone over $2.7 million of donor money, then married into that donor money, and I suspect there are more skeletons to explain her sudden, unexplained wealth.

Maybe bung him 50K to make it go away?

Why mess with the organ grinders monkey?

Just buy a couple of Donald's brand-new 1 million dollar immigration gold cards, using some of the money they allegedly ripped off from MN coffers, and the whole conspiracy theory will be magicked away.

Tom Homan, the Border Czar, is investigating and is already on record  "there’s no doubt [fraud occurred].". Next maybe he can put together some sort of criminal referral to felony immigration fraud and a grand jury indictment.

Sudden? Unexplained? Hardly.

According to @flexomike, it's all been ripped off from MN state coffers, and we know this for a fact because he's "seen it for himself" because he has "lived with them".

I'd characterize going from a net worth of about $50K in her own 2023 filing to $$ millions in her 2024 filing "sudden and unexplained".

Took her about 40 years to amass $50k, then one year to get to $20-30 million (plus or minus).

Mate, the left can resurrect a decades old misdemeanor by linking it to an unknown & un-named crime. This novel legal moonshot to jack up a long expired misdemeanor into a felony was conjured up to destroy the man they couldn't beat in a fair election.

Yet now an immigration fraudster that married her brother to get him citizenship, who peddles hatred and anti American sentiments on a daily basis and leads a diaspora that stole up to a billion $$ can't face the music?

Its just the law remember. Everyone is equal under it. Cant do the time dont fo the bla bla bla.....

Hey Mate You just gave a  pure gold standard comparison of apples to apples.

Seems to me the trump supporters are inexplicably drawn to any story rumor whiff rumor of any and all forms of sexual deviance…….odd.
