December 13, 2025Dec 13 Popular Post Picture courtesy of Thaitabloid Police carried out a large-scale nationwide operation, reported on 12 December 2025, raiding 3,001 locations across the country to dismantle major drug trafficking networks. The coordinated crackdown resulted in the arrest of nearly 2,500 suspects, the seizure of large quantities of drugs and weapons and the freezing of assets worth more than 42 million, according to authorities. The operation was led by the Royal Thai Police through the Narcotics Suppression Operations Centre, following government and national police directives to urgently address drug problems by reducing both demand and supply. Police said the campaign focused on heavily affected communities, with an emphasis on sustained and serious enforcement against organised drug networks operating at local and national levels. At 06.00 on 12 December, police units nationwide, working alongside relevant local agencies, simultaneously launched search and arrest operations targeting key drug suspects. The action aimed to disrupt trafficking routes, dismantle distribution networks, and seize or freeze assets linked to drug-related offences as part of a comprehensive suppression strategy. At 09.00, Pol Gen Samran Nualma, Deputy National Police Chief and Director of the Narcotics Suppression Operations Centre, chaired a national briefing on the results of the operation. Representatives from the Metropolitan Police Bureau, Provincial Police Regions 1–9, and the Narcotics Suppression Bureau attended the meeting. Police reported that the operation targeted 627 drug networks across the country. Officers arrested 2,498 suspects linked to drug trafficking activities, including 2,466 individuals directly involved in trafficking networks and 131 suspects wanted under outstanding arrest warrants. Seized evidence included 464,371 methamphetamine tablets, 12.973 kilogrammes of crystal methamphetamine, 0.322 kilogrammes of ketamine, 0.886 grammes of heroin, and 1,030 ecstasy tablets. Authorities also confiscated 90 firearms and 260,529 baht in cash during the raids. In addition to drugs and weapons, police reported the seizure and freezing of assets worth more than 42,733,488 million baht. Officials described the operation as one of the most extensive simultaneous anti-drug crackdowns ever conducted nationwide. The Royal Thai Police urged the public to assist ongoing efforts by reporting drug-related information via the 191 emergency hotline or at local police stations. Authorities said public cooperation is critical to breaking the cycle of drug trafficking and protecting communities from the long-term harm caused by narcotics. December 13, 2025Dec 13 Well done from police, though some police are also behind it. Some nasty stuff out there like meth. Just leave the mushrooms out of it. 🙂
December 14, 2025Dec 14 Where'd these dealers come from? Thaksin solved the drug problem in Thailand by extrajudicially killing 3,000 in 2003. He should at least be given a consultant position. /s If anybody thinks such efforts will stop 0.000001% of drug use in Thailand today, they haven't been listening. The prices may go up just marginally. All wars on drugs are bound to fail.
