December 16, 2025Dec 16 Haven’t been back to Thailand for a few months, but follow news daily. I don’t hear many complaints of the lack of staff and workers. Just Wondering how they are all managing. My regular haunts seem to employ many Cambodians. I have noticed less Burmese ,maybe since Covid, and the extra police and’ immigration staff checking the Burmese Thai borders for eventual Scam job workers,? Are the Cambodians forced to leave ? Any comments ?
December 16, 2025Dec 16 Building sites around my condo are busy, local huge fruit market full of Cambodians, they don't want to go back to Scambodia
December 16, 2025Dec 16 Popular Post My wife has had a medium size restaurant for at least 10 years and she refuses to employ Thais. She told me that Thais are so lazy when they're not self employed. They want to sit down, sleep, talk and even pull out out their cell phones to watch their favorite soapys. She employs Cambodians, pays them over the award and both partys are more than happy.
December 17, 2025Dec 17 The Moo Baan in Bangkok where i am, is having issues all the grounds people were Cambodian, all have gone, and they are having issues getting Thais to do the work, after hours we could get the Cambodians to trim the trees a bit, the current workers are not interested, also rubbish collection was 7 days a week, now about 3

Some Cambodians returned for fear of the unknown, and loyalty to their country, again, this is what I was told by them, as I am a regular visitor plus, many are swallowing up nationalism on both sides of the border. A lot of building sites, hotels and bars are filling up with Myanmar workers. Another poster is correct-they are filling jobs as the Thais simply don't want to WORK!......... They prefer to send you their bank details, give a sob story and beg money.

Thasnk you for your interest and according to Google: More than 700,000 migrant workers have come back from Thailand, nervous of possible hostility (and fearing for their safety) among the public there. Some 480,000 Cambodians have been uprooted from their homes, and panic over real or just rumoured Thai air strikes has forced many families to move more than once.5 days ago

December 25, 2025Dec 25 How is Thai work force managing without Cambodians ? There are some companies that are having some trouble only because they find that Thais don't want to do the work and that they are lazy.
